Has anyone used Ground Turmeric for joint pain/inflammation?

Curious to see if anyone has tried ground turmeric before. I've read that 1g a day can be mixed in with a shake or smoothie for pain relief/inflammation relief in joints. I've used other joint products before and already get the joint support from Orange triad which I love, but I was looking for something reasonably priced and effective for inflammation.
Obviously taking the standard fish oils as well.

Back before I had a full time job and health insurance I believe I inflicted myself with weightlifter's shoulder. Couldn't even get under the bar to do squats. A friend at the Vitamin Shoppe that I worked at told me about turmeric and bromelain for joint pain and I started taking it. After a month or so the pain was completely gone. I ended up stopping it for financial reasons but the pain did not come back. The injury came back about a year later and I finally had insurance so I could get it looked at and taken care of. But that turmeric/bromelain really helped, it's good stuff.

I've been taking Turmeric (bulk) for many years. Stuff works great! Has soo many benefits! Cheapest (but least tastiest) way to take it is bulk. Take 1 Tspn 2-3 x p/day mixed in a cup of water or juice if you prefer. Tastes like shiite, but soo much cheaper than buying little pills. The pills hold such a small amount, you'd have to take so many of them...you'll be done a bottle in no time! Good luck!

Turmeric(or standardized extract Curcumin) has a litany of beneficial uses. The only downside is the Bioavailability, so look for one with Bioperine or something like Life Extension Bio-Curcumin.

I love curcumin, it's a staple of mine for joint health. 1,500mg curcumin seems to work great with or without Bioperine.

BCM-95 is another form that boasts high bioavailability.

Works on inflammation and joint pain almost immediately.
I use a small amount of extract and just mix it in water or my smoothies. Try the ones with black pepper for better absorbancy.
Turmeric latte is all the hype right now. It's delicious with coconut milk. Yum.

Turmeric has bazillion benefits. You can take it with your food or apply a wet paste on the inflammation. It also has excellent blood clotting properties. Put a layer of it on an open wound and you get an instant clot.

It occurs in several forms, the most common being the chronic disorders of osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Arthritis is generally characterised by a progressive and painful onset. Flare ups and inflammations are common occurrences. In some cases nodules are formed which may pose danger to the eyes and lungs. It is sometimes called the magical spice as the benefits it offers to disease prevention and treatment are plenty. It possesses antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and can also fight off invading pathogens through its microbial killing activities.
