    protein power with no L-arginine?

hey I just started working out trying to gain mass. I know that arginine might trigger herpes type 1 more frequently if taken. Is there any protein isolate I can purchase that doesn't have this amino acid? I've done a search and found that I can take L-Lysine to counter act arginine, I may have to go this route if no protein is available with no arginine.

    thanks

No, arginine will exist in protein powders though some sources may have less than others.

Unless you're supplementing with just an l-arginine product, then you should be ok. Remember that any complete protein (and whey and casein are complete) will have the full spectrum of amino acids (including arginine). The same goes for animal meat products and dairy, eggs and some plant sources. Unless you are creating an unbalanced state in your body, it should be fine.
