I think this was skipped because it was kinda dumb (my b), but it's basically based how well you do right?
my plans (although things never go accoriding to plans) is this
- go to college
- get my accounting degree
- join marines
- get out, find some sort of law enforcement job with my accounting degree. Want to work for that there fbiYou don't pay for things with money, you pay with your time

I applied for a position for a police academy trainee the other day for ****s and giggles; I get an e-mail back to report to the local CC for testing. I have my bachelor's degree in business, but had put some thought on being a cop back in the day. The position says as a sponsored trainee, you'd get $4000/month + benefits. This is more than I'm making now just to go to school. This really has me thinking if the job would be right for me. It's in Orange County, CA, so there is minimum crime. I don't mind being bored at work, but it's the schedule that has me thinking. I love the 4/10 they offer, but I wonder how long I'll have to be working graveyard shifts before I get "normal" shifts.
Anyone got any advice or pointers? I'm going to take the tests. If I get in, that's a big decision I'm going to have to make\m/ METALLICA \m/ R.I.P. Cliff Burton:2/10/62-9/26/86

Haha, funny to see that, as it was my first application. Now, I've done ride-alongs and know that law enforcement is exactly what I want to do with my life. First ride-along, it was like everything "clicked"
For those asking if law enforcement would be right for you, call up your local department and see if they do ride-alongs; you can ask about automatic disqualifiers and any background questions you have.\m/ METALLICA \m/ R.I.P. Cliff Burton:2/10/62-9/26/86
