So I have been bulking for about two months. I started at 134 or 136, dont remember exactly. Today I weighed in at 145. My trainer told me I should start adding the Russian Bear 5000 weight gainer to my diet, he said it would greatly increase my gains. I have been making my own weight gainer kind of, and it seems to be working. This is what I drink in the morning instead of breakfast.
1 and 1/4 cup oats
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
4 tbsp peanut butter
1 cup 2% milk
1 scoop syntha 6 protein powder.
I guess I could still do this as breakfast and use the weight gainer shake at lunch but I don't know about this Russian bear product. It doesn't list the sugar content which leads me to believe there is massive amounts of it. I don't have a problem taking a weight gainer if needed as long as the nutrition profile is good.
So what are you guys suggestions? Should I try the Russian bear or just stick to what I am doing? Or should I just use a different weight gainer?

I know it's not a wonder meal or anything, but it's an easy 1000 calories that I can drink on the way to work, and it comes from whole foods instead of a weight gainer filled with who knows what.
My question is do you think I need to add a weight gainer based on my progress so far? I have put on about 9-11 pounds in about two months. My other question do you think my trainers suggestion of the Russian bear product is a good one? From looking at it, I think it's kind of sketchy, they don't list the sugar content, and it has a bunch of crazy ingredients such as deer antler and some other things.

just looked up russian bear...1 serving is 635 grams, 186 grams protein and 391grams cho........0g of fat -.- 2600 cals??
please fire your trainer.... if you took that suppliment you would literally have to drink lard or oil to get adequate fats and still be largely over a good caloric intake for slow gaining
that is unless you ran like 10 miles a day, which in fairness you may. regardless, you'd be micronutrient deficient in the extreme and have a largely powdered diet....wtf is your trainer thinking?!?!
