    Boxing conditioning

Me and two of my buddies are all conditioning for boxing. Each of us are trying to cut about 10 lbs for our weight classes. As far as cardio/conditioning goes, we are pretty well set on that.
My question pertains to weight lifting. If we are cutting/cardio training for 2 hours and do drills/sparring for 2 hours, should we also add an hour or so to bodybuilding - lifting weights?
Should we be doing hard lifting exercises like benching, dead lifting, and squatting? Should we do lighter workouts like DB press, curling?

Ask your trainer. And if you're competing, then damn, ask your trainer some more. Really, he should've gone through this with you, if you're even contemplating competitions of any sort.

If for some bizarre reason you can't or won't do that, stick with the basics for the most part. Do some solid strength building, sure, as well as all the usual conditioning and training.

Can't go too far wrong with the classic four, along with some weighted chinups, and (possibly) whatever else you think might help.

Thanks for the info. There is nothing wrong in our system I just wanted to get some input from other sources.
