Hello, I'm currently training 4x/week and looking to bulk up muscle, I'm 6'0 and 155lbs 17years old.
I want to start using whey protein, but I've heard many different kinds of things about the right time to take it, I've heard that it's good to drink 3x/day(waking up,before exercise,after exercise) 2x/day(before exercise/before sleeping), 1x/day(2hours after exercising), so..
- Should I drink it with water or milk ? Any difference ?
- I've been told by a trusty source that the muscle only starts repairing himself about 2hrs after intense workout, so that means I should only drink my "instant whey protein" 2 hrs after exercising, or should I do like everyone else that drinks it immediately after working out ?
- How many times a day ?!
- How many grams ? (my scoop is 28gs I think)
I'm thinking about buying the Optimum 100% gold standard whey protein.
