    Muscle and strength routine

I was looking for a good routine and I found one but I was wondering if it would be a good mass gaining routine? http://www.muscleandstrength.com/wor...t-workout.html The reps go 12-10-8-6 which Ive never done before. Could that be a solid rep scheme and workout for gaining mass. Someone please let me know!

I am a big fan of more frequency per week. I believe that for beginners and even intermediates a workout routine where you work each muscle group twice per week will provide better results. Beginners benifit more from full body workouts 3 times a week, intermediates, i.e lifting smartly and consistently for over six months benifit more from an upper/lower or push/pull routine repeated twice a week. Advanced body builders, and people who just want to maintain muscle benifit the most from a workout frequency of once per week.

I am not saying that workout you posted sucks, its just more suitable for older body builders, and more dvanced atheletes. Hey, even the 2011 M.r Olympia uses a twice per week workout routine.

That being said, here is a link to the workout I am currently using. Its an upper/lower split repeated twice a week. That gives you 3 days rest where you can do some light cardio or stretch. Check it out. Also that website has so much great information on puting together your own routine, you should read it all, will tell you everything you need to know about workout volume, frequency, intensity, and progression.

    The routine I would recommend.
