    Too much lifting?

Is it bad to have two days of intense upper body lifting in a row? I have heard both pros and cons. thanks!

Yes. You need to allow your muscles sufficient time to recover. Working out your upper body two days in a row is just going to counter the gains you would have possibly made. Definately give it 48 hours. I, personally, only do my upper body every 5 days and I see the most gains at those intervals. But definately not 2 days in a row man.

You need at least 48hrs rest before training that muscle again.
