I know this feel so well, I've had plenty of opportunities with girls that were interested but I was just way too beta to do anything. I just hope the meds help, I'm seeing a physchologist now to help with the anxiety as well.

If you word it correctly and make it sound really casual you'll be more relaxed when asking and she'll be more intrigued by your cool demeanor.

Well, I had what I believe to be my first ******** event invitation a couple of weeks ago. The event is a clubbing night for a girl's birthday. I've met her once but we have a longstanding mutual acquaintance. I would know one other person going, the rest likely all quite close, prob up to 15 people with more sporadically entering and leaving the fray throughout the night. Doesn't seem like a good idea really, since clubs are not the places you can easily get to know people. Conversation would be lacking, in-jokes I don't understand would be high. But a night of alcohol and dancing is long overdue, even if I could end up on my own. I would just have to hope for that instinctual drunken camaraderie to develop halfway through the night. At the same time, it would feel weird to celebrate the birthday of someone I barely know when she's surrounded by her closest friends. There's got to be better ways for me to meet people.

True that could be akward if you don't know anyone. If I were u I probably wouldn't go but then again I'm beta so what do I know. If you can talk to the birthday girl easy and her friends she that see likes talking to you then they will initiate a conversation to find out more about you, but if you just have like a 2 min convo like hey how ya been and thats it then most likely no one will bother to get to know you.
