    boots for training

    Hi

Would like to seek options here. Am considering getting boots for training to prevent ankle injuries from heavy training like deadlift, squats, leg press and lunges.

Which brand would you recommend? I am thinking of getting a pair from timberland.

What is your precise concern here? You're far more likely to turn and injure your ankle just walking down the street. For deadlift, squats, and leg presses, once you position your feet, they're set. (Though for squats, you do have to walk the bar out and back in again. Is that your concern?)

^^^^This. I think your fears are unfounded, OP.

I can't ever recall anyone suffering an ankle injury from weight training. Get yourself some Chuck Taylors or even some weightlifting shoes if you want to spend the money. Or just train barefoot (if it's allowed, and you don't have any foot issues such as flat feet, etc).
    No brain, no gain.

    You can't out-train bad nutrition.

"The fitness and nutrition world is a breeding ground for obsessive-compulsive behavior. The irony is that many of the things people worry about have no impact on results either way, and therefore aren't worth an ounce of concern."--Alan Aragon

Hmm. I have very loose ankles. Often I can feel some strain on my joints when pressing over 900lbs. So thinking if a fitting boots would have to prevent the joints to shift.
