    This is, of course, a very rough estimate. Usually I find that there's a difference of about 40 pounds between my dumbbell bench and my barbell bench. Add in the extra reps, and I'd think you could do somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 for 8 reps on a barbell bench.

    I don't think they're necessarily linear in translation. If you don't typically BB press then you'll be underweight. Either because of the form or the difference in muscles used...

    you should be able to lift more in a barbell then your combined dumbbell weights

    depends. i can do 70x10 for 3 sets on db flat bench. probably couldnt even do 185 for one on bb bench. Don't train for bb bench personally, because I can't get a good muscle stretch like in DB, and it seems to help strength but not size for me.

    In general, you should be able to bench press more with a bar then with dumbbells. However, the exact answer you are looking for is impossible to calculate as you're ability to push weight is also dependent on your technique. No one here can see your bench press form so therefore you will not get the answer you want.

    Last week on my heavy upper day, I BB pressed 285lbs 3x5. Sunday, light upper day, I DB pressed 140lbs (2 70lb DBs) 3x12.

    Basically my best tip for you op is muscle confusion. When I hit the rack I try to make as much noise as possible, knocking the weights together, kicking my water bottle, anything that will confuse my muscles.The next thing I do is grunt and scream as I'm lifting, this creates brain confusion and in turn creates muscle confusion.
