I'm not surprised. The costs there are a helluva lot different than almost anywhere (if not anywhere) in Colorado.

I've never used a convection or toaster oven, but then I lived in college dorms for awhile with no oven and I was fine. And it's not like the dorm food was actually good (or had a lot). Did a lot with a microwave, a toaster, and delivery or eating out.

well itd really be two rooms and a tiny bathroom





id probably bring my full sized bed and put it against the window next to the front door then get a sofa/couch to put where the bed is currently w a TV stand on the wall facing. maybe even bring my grill over for the balcony thing. im sure theres pleanty of room to get yucky. while id have more room in my parents house and a over etc im going crazy w the people im forced to live w...mainly my father

Thats a good point... sharing a house with your landlord is still a step up from sharing a house with your parents.

I still wouldn't. That's just me. Big windows up front just seem too likely for a break in attempt or for having an airborne object come flying through, intentionally or not.

My boy's got a poverty two bedroom, one bath with full kitchen in a four-unit strip with a shared yard. He pays $650. The ex-gf's old digs was a five bedroom, two bath with a basement rec room and one-car garage for $1200.

Colorado cost of living>>>New Jersey cost of living.

That's crazy cheap compared to most places but I guess there are an inordinate number of shootings out around there so that factors into the price. :P

I haven't rented in pgh for a long time but it was 800 for a ****ty 2BR a decade ago, I'd have to imagine its over 1k now.

Hey sleepless, is that just rent goes and can you get a better deal with a purchase? I own my home, two story ~2,300 square feet and pay $1,050 for the mortgage payment but I know the rentals around here are higher just not sure how much.

Come down here CJ and we can split a 3BR/2BA for ~1,000 with my other roommate. $333 a piece, not bad right? Get stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, gated community, pool, etc.
