Last issue with a cop minus the whole truck without plates in drive way thing. Like 1am. Leaving club in naperville. By the street with my m8s when a car drives by and throws a drink hitting us. I begin speed walking and see them turn and it was a one way or something so I figured they would have to come back toward us on the next street over or something (while ago and I was buzzed idk). I realize there are cops in front of said club so I walk to them explain this color make and model car just threw a drink at us. Cops sit there and stare like why is this kid telling me IDC. One of the cops finally slow paced walks to car gets in and pulls off casually.

I have no issue with firemen, but lol at people nut hugging them. Its like living in a college dorm most of the time. Brb sitting outside station bay door on a lawn chair grilling cause I am a fat slob. City firefighters are a different story. Gym buddy is jacked out of his mind, quit the force after his friend was killed on duty. Said all the firemen lifted at the same gym and he was referring to them as beastly when hes big himself

The one time I relied on the police in my 38 years they failed miserably. Had a CBR600 stolen from me, found out who did from word on the street. Gave statement to police, told him who did it and that the kid had a coke problem.

They won't fingerprint for many typical property crimes.

They're too busy harassing gun owners and marijuana smokers to put that many resources towards thieves. (flame suit on)

They were very possibly working a part time job (through the PD) being paid by the club, or were at least specifically stationed at the club, and a petty misdemeanor (littering or the most simple assault you can get I guess?) that they did not witness isn't something they can do much about.

When I was young my father was the on the borough council and so I had a good insight to it, the cops in my neighborhood would harass us for walking around after dark even though we had no curfew. They would try and cite us for jaywalking if we cut a corner getting into a crosswalk, would sit in their cars and stare us down for waiting for the bus. Total small town nightmare dillwads. They once went to my dad and told him I was stealing papers from the automated paper box because I was the neighborhood paper boy and they just assumed I suppose, I don't really know. Turned out that an old lady was swiping extra papers for her dog.

Later in life not much has changed. I once hit black ice on the interstate and smashed into a guard rail knocking it loose from its supports. The police came along and were taking my info, questioning where I was going and told me it was my fault I was driving too fast and I would have to pay for the guard rail out of pocket, etc... total typical dick **** from a statie...anyhow as he was telling me this another car hit the same seam in the road, same black ice and eventually the same part of the guard rail knocking it over and rolling down the hillside behind it. Less than a minute later a 3rd car did the same thing and the guard rail now acted as a ramp. In total 6 cars wrecked there in under an hour and the dickhead cop? Lectured us all about how we would have to split the cost of the guard rail out of pocket. I could go on and on when I have more time and if you want to hear.

For example, here in GA if you tailgated in the parking lot of a college football game with a 3" pocket knife in your jean pocket you were committing a felony.
