What are you training on the chopper?
Kayak you have great range and plenty of storage for all your gear, rigged up right these guys down here take them miles offshore. I fish the bays with mine when it's just me, couple miles range and all the gear I need...even have fishfinder and GPS rigged up. Less than $1k and you're highly fishable anywhere you want to go, and best of all you can haul it on top of a Prius or pretty much any vehicle you have.

helicopter crew member, to work on a ship with any of the federal agencies with wildland fire fighting. we learned about the capabilities, how to load, load calculations, and for field exercise we need to do a long line hookup, and a hover hookup. thats a picture of long line, here is a pic of hover hookup

its pretty cool, the crappy part is im not getting any younger. I also don't get paid well enough for the time investment. I basically have no time for anything in the summer. plus getting laid off in the winter kinda sucks. I would love to get my commercial pilots license and fly vs be the grunt on the ground.

NJ is so gay with "AK Variants". It can't have AK stamped on it...bayo lug, flash hider, and most importantly....ASSAULT CLIPSZZZZZZZZZZZZ
really kicking myself for not buying a saiga when they were 299. A AK pattern rofl is something i need to acquire eventually.

Tomorrow is our forests preparedness review. They run a mock fire and we all respond to it. Two-3 fire engines, a helicopter crew, and a hand crew. We haven't trained a lot in the district protocols. Kinda makes me nervous, and they have me as one of the engine boss trainee's.... Sink or swim beers all around tomorrow.Stats 6'6" 245lbs
