I'm not ripping on him. He got fired from a job he said he hated, which was a dead-end hourly gig. It's not like he's gonna be upside down on his mortgage and his kids aren't gonna be able to play sports this year.

The white delegation tends to veer away from dedicating to any sport. I think it has much to do with the whole follow your dreams vs the good probability of acquiring success. When billy johnson graduates highschool and comes to that fork in the road where its dedicate all your efforts to getting educated on dads dime and making substantial money vs trying to become an athelete and possibly go somewhere most people choose the school route. Minorities typically are lower on the income scale and the prospect of getting into a good school is more than likely going to rest on succeeding at a sport and getting a scholarship.

the boxing gym is a 10 minute walk away, but i dont have time to spend 2 hours 3 times a week there. plus i dont have the funds. theres an mmz gym in my hometown. $100 a month. maybe ill get there this summer, although im not sure how much i can really learn in 3 months

Started boxing properly last year to tighten up my hands for Muay Thai. That's a friend of mine from Queens who used to do Grappler's Quest tourneys in NY.

I think much like basketball, it's a sport that white guys got bitter about once the "new wave" came in, whereas in baseball and football, the pasty persuasion is still passionate and undaunted. The Klitschkos are really the last top-of-the-chain white guys in boxing right now. Hatton hung 'em up, Gatti's dead, and Ward's been gone.

It doesn't matter. Unless you're a model, a boss can't fire you for being beat up. Playing rugby, I used to show up to work all the time with broken noses, stitches, black eyes, fat lips, busted teeth, etc. Boss would just shake his head. As long as it doesn't affect your job performance, they won't care.

6-7 PM BJJ
7-8 PM Boxing

R: 8-4:30 work
5 PM lift

F: 8-4:30 work
5-6 PM Boxing
6-7 PM BJJ

S: 9-10 AM Boxing

oh snap... what happened?

General Manager was being a douchebag, I called him out on it. he wanted an apology but was screaming+cursing at me so he didnt get chit from me. I put thru a corporate deal on my last day which is why he fired me so he can get the future commissions off it without doing chit to get it. (corporate deal=lower rate for employees of say home depot to join our gym)


the money was good towards the end but it isnt worth working for that POS. theres a ton more details but the whole thing was dumb, the douche was just going out of his way to make me as misrebal as possible
