A lot of stations do not even require college. Unfortunately you are not former military and you have a less than ideal stature (no offense). Consider applying as a prison guard?

It isn't even about money. Gun control isn't about guns, it is about control.

The more expensive they make it, the more hoops you have to jump through, the more requirements you have to meet...the fewer people will do it. The fewer that will do it the less armed the populace is and the further away from citizens they are. Also, it makes future further restrictions easier because the number of actual gun owners who will be affected by these restrictions is smaller.

Its not that bad, there are a lot of people opening there eyes and arming up. Going threw the song and dance to get a class 3, SBR or a suppressor is a real pita and im not willing to get mummified by red tape to have one.

Yes, I have a pretty good idea.

They could very possibly be interested in you, yes. I don't know who is still hiring, but around here the large county departments are your best best. They run their own academies and put EVERY new hire through them, regardless of whether or not they are already certified with the state of GA. It certainly helps to have related experience or be prior military, but it is absolutely not required. It's all in the interview.

A few years ago I was a 25 year old male, clean record, out of state associates in criminal justice, no related experience and they hired me as a recruit officer.

That's funny because open carry is supposedly legal here but you would be stuffed and cuffed in an instant because most of the population and popo don't even know the laws and everyone would panic and call 911.

i refuse to work in a jail/prison. my height will not be reflected in any kind of physical tests, i played all 4 hs years on varsity lax on one of the better teams in the state, got hops and most importantly i have the type of personality where failure is not an option

werd, i still need to read into how to put myself out there across the east coast. im willing to move anywhere from PA-FL pretty much as long as the PD isnt raped by politics and as long as the pay is enough to live comfortably on in the area id be working

I beg to differ. People have seen enough LEOs and other government folks wearing casual clothes and toting a pistol to not question you if you were going about casually bearing a pistol on your hip. Especially in attire similar to pic. Having an ar or especially an ak over your shoulder. That might bother someone

I don't think that you should need to look like a off duty cop to be able to open carry a firearm. My favorite shirt to wear when I'm OC'ing is this:






Also, I picked up Tiger Woods 13. The Kinect part is still a little clunky, but it definately a slick game.

Illinois isnt even a carry state, but Id be willing to bet I could go grocery shopping with my glock on my hip and have nothing happened because....... who in their right mind would illegally carry on a gun on their hip in public? 95% percent of people would think your leo

Even if 95% assumed you were a LEO, that still leaves some people that will come across you on your outing, and there is a good chance they will call the police. Generally when LEOs openly display a firearm they also have a badge visible somewhere. Many departments require this.

Friend true to his word bought me a copy of the game for free. I am quite disappoint thus far.

-Brb logging onto battlenet to register your game and make account
-Brb consistent lag to the point game not playable
-Brb might as well call game wow
-Brb getting xp and quest achievements in town when I didnt even do anything

The game has more difference than similarities to d2. Honestly have no desire to play this shiv at this point. Maybe next time I log on it will at least run without lag?
