A huge thank you to Magnum for allowing me to try their new pre workout supplement OPUS! I am very excited to give this product a run for it's money. I just came off a week off from dieting and training and I am more than ready to hit it hard in the gym. Can OPUS! give me that xtra boost? We shall see.....
What's in it?
My log will start Monday. I will include my workouts, pics and maybe some video. I'm hoping OPUS! will help me hit the weights with no mercy. I'm not competing in the Bodybuilding shows in June. I placed 2nd in Light Heavy Weights at my last show and that qualifies me for the Nationals. So my #1 focus now is to grow a lot! So, stay tuned!

i have 1 calendar year to compete in the Jr. Nationals, Jr. USAs or Nationals. So, im taking my time and adding some more muscle for my 1st national level show. Those guys are fawkin huge! i'll stay in the light heavies of course. I weighed 184lbs ripped at my last show, my goal is to be as close to 198lbs and in the same condition as i was in my last show.
Pics from last show:
Not to bad i'd say. So, i will be on the same exact diet but carbs are up to 200g a day and 3 cheat meals a week. My diet rocks and it really works well with my body. OPUS should be a huge benefit to my training.

Ok, day 1 on OPUS! It was back, traps, calves and forearms today. I didn't go balls to the walls but I did give 100% I've been out of the gym roughly 2 weeks which isnt much so I shouldnt be sore, but we shall see.
On to my workout and thoughts of OPUS!

Post Workout: 6oz sweet potato, 2 scoops whey
Thoughts on OPUS!:
I must have mixed it wrong, I honestly forgot to read the directions. i was in a hurry this morning, grabbed the jug and put 1 scoop in my shaker bottle and left for work. I have to be honest and say the flavor wasnt very good IMO. The mixability was perfect, the energy, drive, pumps and my endurance were top notch! So, poor flavoring isnt an issue in my book. OPUS worked VERY well for me today. I'll mix it correctly tomorrow and report back.Last edited by BB2K; 03-26-2012 at 12:56 PM.

For a comeback workout, it sure looked intense! Way to give it hell braddah man!!! By the way, Opus does have an interesting taste. I take 2 scoops in 10oz of water and I also mix it with a spoon. First time I shook it up and it damn near blew my face off! I think it tastes better with the spoon mixing....kinda reminds me of mtn dew.
For those that love to train!

Great looking session and knew you wouldn't be off long before hitting the gym again. How did you mix it out of curiosity?
My first time mixing it I added the powder first and then added water... it came out not so good to say the least. Play around with the water amount for a different flavor/taste wise... it's a very unique flavor. I think it will grow on you haha.Magnum Nutraceuticals BB.com Forum Manager & Lead Sales Representative

Day 2 on OPUS! Ok, I read the directions and I am to use 1 scoop in 12oz of water. So that's what I did. I put the powder in first then added the cold water, shook it like a polaroid picture then had a sip. I'm sorry fellas but it isnt tasty at all to me BUT that really isnt a concern, what I'm depending on is effectivness. And OPUS! does a damn fine job with energy, drive, focus and drive. Pumps today were infknsane. The flavor may not be so good IMO but the results are fantastic.

The pump I get from blasting my shoulders is really hard to match IMHO. Maybe chest and arms are the only other body parts that could give that pump a run for it's money.
Just focus on those Jr. Nationals. Stay the course. You got this. You thinking of doing more HRT or what do you have planned?Magnum Nutraceuticals BB.com Forum Manager & Lead Sales Representative

LEG DAY. Today wasn't as brutal as i had hoped. No training partner today so i couldnt really go as intense as i wanted to. BUT i did give what i had in me. Still a damn fine workout. Grabbed my shaker bottle and mixed 2 scoops OPUS in 10oz water, big difference in flavor. It is much better now, but honestly dont see where anyone gets Mt. Dew flavor from it. lol

Sick lookin to say the least. lol OPUS did a damn fine job today, it lasted a long time, gave a steady flow of controlled energy and my drive and focus were top notch. Now had my partner been there I would have done even better. I tend to tune it down a bit when im training solo. I hate training solo!!

Back to back solid sessions. Glad the 10 oz of water helped you out some... I think the flavor is just so hard to describe that Mt Dew is the first thing people think of haha It's just so different... Maybe one of those limited edition Mt Dews haha like a Code Red type deal or Baja Blast...
