I workout at home, and inherited a smith machine. I plan on using it as my main chest exercise when training.
I don't care about 'stabilizers', or 'functional' strength right now, so don't throw that 'unnatural vertical movement bullsh!t' at me. I'm not a professional athlete, and I don't care about that crap.
All I care about is safely gaining strength without injuring my shoulders or anything else involved in a smith machine bench press.
I don't care about it being an 'inferior exercise' compared to dumbbells and barbells, so take that debate elsewhere as I workout at home, and don't have access to that equipment.
So my question is, can I safely gain strength without injuring my shoulders or anything else involved in a smith machine bench press?
And yes, I know how to do proper bench press form.
