Norway is clearly #1 right now. Social programs are top notch, social democracy with good wealth distribution, huge gdp with nationalized oil/gas mining, has ranked #1 on the happiness index for a few years.

After that, it's pretty close 2-6 between Switzerland, Canada, Australia, Sweden, and Finland.

Some very small population countries like Iceland and Luxemborg not included.
