what's the tolerance and actual plate weight consistency like on the old milled york 45s?
I may have found some on craigslist for 50c/lb. I don't even have a homegym yet or plan to build one too soon but may grab 10 of them for when I eventually do.

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I tried the Decocolor and Sharpie oil based pens at Dick Blick and ended up buying the Decocolor in both white and silver. I like the Decocolor much better than the Rustoleum and Painters (Elmer's) brand pens that I had tried previously. Based on my in store demo (I drew a line on a piece of paper), I also liked the Decocolor better than the Sharpie. So far I painted the brand and weight on a small dumbbell and it seems to work well. I can't comment on the durability yet.

That's a more than fair price for them and is something I would definitely pick up if I were just starting to put together a home gym. Worst case there is you don't make your home gym and sell them for what you bought them for. Can't speak for how accurate they are on weight though.

Cool. During the 70's York had some curl bars and Oly bars stamped at the ends with an "S". There's no accepted answer for the stamping.

Just singles? The casting on both plates is some of the best I've seen. Especially the York.

For YBBC members with full roundhead sets in dumbbell racks: How many linear feet of shelving did you need for your 15-100 lb roundheads?
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Interested in this ^^ answer too. Atty are you going to be placing them in saddles or without? That will make a difference in the length. I ended up scrapping my saddles and just stacked them side by side.

I have 15 to 100, minus the 85 and 90s. I use 17' 7" linear space to store them with about 1/2 to 1 inch spacing between bells. I have one 3', 4 tier rack, and one 6-1/2', 2 tier rack (only using the top tier). I am using almost all of my four 3' tiers and all but a few inches of the one 6-1/2' tier.
The bells on the 85 and 90 RH's are between 6.5 and 7". So you need another 32 inches or so. That means you need about 20' 3" linear space.
The RHs do not fit evenly on my shorter rack. There is wasted space because some tiers have 3 to 5 inches of space left, but that is not enough to fit the larger DBs.O─O York Barbell Crew #53 O─O

following fit just fine on a body solid 3 tier rack(GDR60)
10,12,15,20,25,30
35,40,45,50, 60 (one db is hanging little bit)
60, 70 80 90 100
so i figure full set(without 1-12) is about 20ft or so
im actually trying to figure out a creative way to rack 1-10 if i cana get them all... so far best solution is probably a peg board or a 2x4(mounted vertically) with hooks or something like that

I have the troy vtx tdr 3 tier rack that holds the full set 5-100. I'm not home but the link has the specs. Wayfair was the best price and when I called she gave me 10% off with free shipping.
