Hi, I'm SkinnySquats. I'm skinny and I like to squat.. I'm doing Starting Strength & IF, and thanks to Atty and the rest of you, I've been seriously bitten by the vintage bug. I'm currently on a CL flipping RAMPAGE, and have amassed about 1000lb of York and a large amount of Roundheads in about a month's time. I know, pics or it didn't happen..

I gather that "raiding" is when you call out someone from another forum, or go on another forum to do the same. I'm working on my York Barbell Club application. I've had an older York Bar for a while now, and today I added a pair of 25lb plates and some of the old spinlock collars. I was running late and didn't have time to take any pictures today, but will document the new purchases when I get home on Sunday.
I also saw some 5lb and 10lb plates (and if I recall correctly some 2.5lb), but the person who had purchased those lots (auction) didn't show up before I had to leave (I was hoping I could make a deal with them). These are the first Yorks I've seen locally.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #39 ▪█─────█▪

WOW ...... Gene congrats on finding those classic plates !!! Its great to here about stories like that. I hope you get a good number for them.
I have been taking a break the past few months been out of the hunt. I recently got a call from a friend who helped me start up my round head collection last year. He gave me a lead on 55-100s roundheads
USA stamped at the right price that were within an hour from my home. I went out on an early morning mission and rescued them and was back home with my pickup loaded up by 9 am this morning. I allways like to have original paint / patina unfortunattly these were recently painted but all the heads are straight and tight . Finnaly my Roundheads are complete 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,12,15-100s mixed of both USA stamped and not.
I look forward and getting some more dumbell work in and put these to great use for many years to come.
Eventually I will look to find a york stainless split sleeve barbell
& york globes 65s 85s & 95s
York BB club enjoy the rest of the summer and I hope every one gets some more great finds keep posting them .

Great score on the Roundheads I've only been able to find Roundheads at less poundage than I already have and they're expensive. The hunt continues.....

Picked this up half an hour from my home for the UK equivalent of $120. Thought it was a decent find, especially for the UK. Might recover it myself.

I'm pretty excited because yesterday I picked up a complete 1973 oly set from a guy who purchased it directly from the York factory. This set includes my 1st pair of 35's and my first milled 10 & 5's. (1 milled 10, 4 milled 5's.) The 2-1/2's were not milled, but I found it funny that the owner called them "potato chips"..
I think I'm a couple of posts away from being able to embed. Get ready for more YORN.

Edit: It appears this is not a York bar, but instead is a DP bar - my mistake
About 10 pages back I posted a bar I picked up believing it was an old York. I still can't prove it is, but it's built just like them so I'm still assuming it is... anyway, I decided to clean it up a bit.
Here are a couple pictures I posted before...

I think that bar is from Diversified Products, and not York, based on the color of the bar and the back of the sleeve. I may be wrong. Did you get any plates with it? Good looking bar, btw.

Dang it Atty why do you have to kill my dream of owning an old York barbell? ha. I'm sure you're right about the Diversified Products thing. The person I bought them from had some DP international plates, so it makes sense the bar is DP also. I haven't been able to find much info on olympic DP plates and nothing really at all on their olympic barbells. Do you have any references I could check out to learn more about their olympic stuff? I'm impressed you could recognize it so easily.
