Thank you, GarageIron.
This is a blue roundhead... that I repainted black. It was originally in great condition but I incorrectly assumed that the blue paint was not original so I repainted it.

I recently came across some York 99lb plates. If I search online, I only get the newer 100 lb ones. So thought of checking with you guys. When were these made and what would b a decent price to offer?

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I made a trip to the scrap yard today and was able to save one York milled 45. I also came across a bunch of Pro Lift plates (I only grabbed one for now as they are standard plates) and also grabbed a set of interesting dumbbells that appear to have lead fillers possibly. Anyone know anything about either the plates or the dumbbells?

Coincidentally (?) there were some Pro Lift plates on eBay from a seller also located in Michigan like you.
www . ebay.com/itm/4-10-LBS-POUND-PRO-LIFT-WEIGHT-BARBELL-DUMBBELL-PLATES-IRON-WEIGHTLIFTING-/221157036239
I searched Google when I saw the eBay plates and found a trademark entry for Pro Lift for 2001 to 2009. I don't know if it's the same but it fits the description.
www . trademarkia.com/pro-lift-76266174.html
Those dumbbells are neat. Do they actually weigh 30 pounds or is the missing part included in the 30 pound weight?

The Roundheads are nice but can bend and can have heads separate from handles. Pro-style still is best, but for the cool home gym, these can't be beat.
A full set fron 10 to 100 pounds will go for over $2,000. If you get the dbs from 1 to 10 and 12 pounds, it's an additional $400 to $500.You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Picked up another 80's York bar today. It came with an 80's York EZ curl bar. Now that I have one, I'm wondering what the excitement is about. . . .
Pics to follow. You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I'll be OK. Got my heart set on a transitional bar from the 70's. Let me clean it up and lube it. It'll "fit" in better at "Magic Mike's".
Do you have pics of York EZ curl bars? The collar/sleeve parts appear to be chrome vanadium, but the bar was chromed and diamond checkered, with roll pins. Definitely the York design with the same cambers. You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

They are not vintage, and I doubt they are milled (so potentially not within 2% weight accuracy).
As indicated in that other post, you should discuss it with GarageIron personally.()---() York Barbell Club #5 ()---()

Picked up the 45kg plates late in the evening yesterday. Not sure why the previous owners decided to paint them in gold !?!? and in the process they have managed to fill up the milling. The factory blue shows up in some places.
