These plates are milled and the seller still have five pairs left. In the 1990's York had a custom plate program and made 3-spoke milled plates for colleges and universities.
You need a rack, bench and 300-lb. Oly set. Now, what was your question?

Let's get back on track. Sorry for the poor quality, I was using the webcam.
Saw a CL ad for a $35 barball that I recognized as a York power bar.
Been wanting a power bar for awhile now, I can already tell I like the larger diameter.
This particular bar is a little more beat up than I had hoped; but it's straight, it spins freely, and for the price I paid I'll keep it until I find a better option. We'll see how it looks after a little TLC soon. And I'll try to take better shots later.

Yup.
Knurling is all good, but the sleeves and "collars" are scratched to all heck, the chrome looks worn off in some areas. I'll hit it up with some PB Blaster and the wire wheel to see how it looks cleaned up.
I am trying to get out to another source tomorrow that may have some more bars to flip. Right now I think 3 bars is the appropriate number for me (plus my football bar) although I wish I had two powers and one oly. One in the rack for squats/deads, one on top of the rack for OHP, and a DL bar on the platform (once I get my own place I can build a platform).

I also like those collars. I saw a pair on Ebay US a while ago and nearly bought them just because I liked the retro look of them. The ones I saw had a different name on them though, 'CHAMPS' I think. Not a name I'm familiar with but they looked good.

Excellent!
Cleveland, you've been cleaning up on the York scores lately.
I want to get a couple of those collars without the spin-tight part, so I can use them as micro-weights. I have to assume each one weighs less than a 2.5 lb. plate, right? Hmm, maybe not.

Yea I have lucked out on spotting some things.
I did miss a few deals too though, some for the better. I lost an ebay auction a few weeks ago for the spinning collars above at $48 + $10 shipping, I end up winning the collars above with the clamp style pair for $56 + $10 shipping.
I'll weigh them when I get home. They are really growing on me recently because I realized how tight you can clamp it down, it won't make for quick changes though but I am going to replace the thumb screws with some hex head cap screws - I bet they would hold more weight than any others on the market.

It may belong gone, but if you go to Columbus CL/searchtempest and type in 2947504181 (posting ID) there is an interesting listing from 4/8.
Looks to be a Split Sleeve bar, Trap Bar, and Plate tree.
just won an ebay auction for some collars for my new bar:
I thought about bidding on that auction, just for the smaller collars. I've already got a couple pair of the others. I think you got a pretty good deal on the set.

They are a good deal. I bid briefly, but I already have a pair of the "wrenchless" collars and two pair of the EZ-curl/dumbbell collars. And two pairs of the speed collars!

This puts me at one pair of the wrenchless, three pairs of the EZ-curls, and two pairs of the speed collars....so once I pick up, oh another 3500lbs of plates and full set of roundheads, I shall challenge you for leader of the clan.

I MAY have gotten a little aggressive with the first sleeve on the power bar.
My buddy lent me a grinder to use on an old wood stove I am redoing and I used a 100grit sanding disk on it. At first it looks great, but then I noticed that it is leaving a slight "ribbing" on the sleeve. Trying to figure out if I can fix it or if I should go all out with it. It actually doesn't look bad, but it's going to be a long process to do two sleeves and try to keep it even.
I knew I should have just bought a sandblaster by now.

It's too narrow for the rack, only 4 ft. wide, lol. For a starting price of $200 it should come with the collars like it did when it was new. It's my favorite bar for doing skull crushers.
