They are steel inserts. I've sold thousands of pounds of them. Decent plate for home use and well priced. Made of recycled rubber and have quite the smell to them.

75 lb deep dish
This has to be the coolest vintage York item I have seen yet .
They were massive look at how they compare in size to the 45 lb deep dish
They were not for sale but The owner also had several pairs of deep dish but these 75s were awesome
Does anybody in the BB club have a pair of these?
I was able to buy a single 9 lb Roundhead an then the other on eBay to complete my Roundheads up to 50. Now it's time to get some heavier RoundheadsFaith is Like a Muscle... MUTTASS, you must mean this plate. HAAA. Thats awsome TLYNCH, there are only maybe 10 of those plates to be known around. I am sure there are more. My goal is to eventually hub lift one of these.

Are there any York aficionados near Fargo? This CL post could be easily missed. It looks like a bunch of roundheads that were painted silver. I'm not sure if any of the standard plates are also York.
