The metric York Oly plates aren't seen as often as the Yorks in pounds. Same design, but the metrics are more likely to be milled because of the difference in weight with their Imperial (pound) counterparts. Curiously, for the iron plates, the price for metric plates is about the same -- maybe a little higher -- than the regular York Oly plates.

Yes, good price. Offer them $100 but be prepared to get it for $125. I have sold a couple for $150 over the last year.

Although sometimes you get one and a York Oly EZ curl bar when you buy a bunch of crappy weights and hex dumbbells. And when you sell off all the crappy stuff you're left with the two York bars costing you about $25.

It's not Keetman prices, but it's still good.

Atty, is there any link where I can read or lookup info to distingquish the bars from different decades. Google comes up with many IH forum results but if there is any particular or interesting thread it would be a great read for me. Thanks

On a different note, I have come across several split sleeves over the last few months within few hours of driving. Infact quite a few by searching carefully and going thru pics in detail. Sellers have even been ready to seperate the bar. But based on the sellers responses, I am not able to say for sure if they are knowledgable enough to know whether the bar is bent. It would be a bummer to drive all the way and look at a bent bar. Its much easier with plates. Sometimes I feel like sending them Rippetoes video to find out the bend. I am sure you guys would have faced similar situations. how does it turn out to be? or do you just take a chance n drive?
