LOL, I don't need the ab bench but the vinyls look appealing. Maybe I can drill some 'big holes' in them?

The man with the magic York touch and strangely enough he's an Ivanko fan, but to be truthful, he also has an Ivanko touch .
Funny thing is that there seems to be a rash of single York plates out there, I have a 35 as well as others that all need twins. If we were all closer, we could probably make a deal."Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do, than by the ones you did" Mark Twain

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Picked up some York weights for ~30 cents a pound today, guess I'm part of the club now. I only got two 45 lb plates and then a bunch of 25's, 10's, 5's and 2.5's (the guy included olympic dumbbells which I think had something to do with the large amount of smaller ones). I'll post pics later when I'm home.

Here's a shot of the plates... 12 2.5 lbers, I might try to flip the olympic dumbbells and most of these as I already have a 120 lb set Ironmaster.

Congratulations animal, it's got to feel great to complete a set. Especially since you have a boatload of Yorks.

Might have gone higher if not listed in the 'cast iron' category.
Picked up three newer York benches last night.

Not really that hot. Just got lucky answering an vaguely worded ad about selling a building and have equipment to move fast. Called and they said they had some machines with stacks. Got there and also found the three benches in the picture several heavy duty fixed benches, bars and some Olympic plates too (about half milled Yorks)

Thanks guys. I'm bummed now, though- I looked the plates over this morning and there is a crack running around the hub, all the way through to the back side. Guess they are just decorations now, so I painted them to match the other plates. They would probably be fine to use, but I wouldn't sell them to anyone like that. The "35" is facing the opposite way on the other plate, too. I probably should have checked them out more thoroughly when I got them.

Realistically, what should one expect to pay for a pair of 45lb Deep Dish plates? Assuming you don't get lucky on CL, but buy them from someone who knows what they are.

Cracking happens with all sizes of York plates. I have seen 45s, 10s, and 5s cracked. I have heard of milled 2.5s being the most susceptible to cracking. They are the rarest of milled plates, by the way. Nothing you can do about it, but it doesn't mean you can't use them. . .
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Holy hell that's a lot of coin. I had not even looked at a pair before the other day at NDMike's place. Very cool, but cool enough for that much money.
I figured I could still use them, I was just disappointed when I saw the cracks. I haven't seen any cracks on any of the other York plates I have (or have looked at), but I'll take your word for it."If there must be trouble let it be in my day, that my child may have peace." -Thomas Paine
