Rescued an older York bar this weekend (bottom bar) it was a rusted mess . I took it apart wire wheeled it , some steel wool and finished with emory cloth. Greesed it up put the pins back in and now looks and spins fantastic . It will give it a good welcoming Tomorow for some presses.

I got every one used except for the BnR bar i bought new off of rouges websight. The power bar is from the 80s but was never used. The seller had it in storage for 20 + years. The others I don't know what years they were made . They all are marked York Pa and each bar has different knurling and differ in some ways.
1) BnR bar made by York
2) appears to be a newer version York
3) older York lightest knurling ever
4) 80s York power bar
5) older York bar I just got yesturday this is what it was like before I cleaned it up
I would like to get a stainless steel York bar in the future as well of other styles made by York. The search never ends.

Great job on that rusty bar! You have inspired me to clean up the vintage bars I have (as soon as it warms up!!)
There is a good chance that bar is an unmarked York 60s or 70s bar. Here is a photo of the dimensions of a bar like that.
hmmm....interesting...maybe somebody near bloomington, indiana can go pick up that bar for extremely cheap. sounds like he's going to throw it away or something based on his video.

It may or may not be a 60's bar. One of his bars, at least, appears to be a York bar. Very unimpressive home gym. Kudos to the man for his tidiness and home-made equipment skills, but it's really spartan, and not in a good way.
You need a rack, bench and 300-lb. Oly set. Now, what was your question?

Went on a road trip to 4 different locations in MA yesturday. I Rescued a pair of 35lb roundheads, a bunch of straggling 2.5, 5s , two 10s, 3 25s , and 4 35s both pairs different style. I can't belive that I found the single 45 kg bumper plate to pair up the one I got a few months back. That was the only plate in an old building that I also got two split sleeves both different style. I plan to restore these bars in the future for sure.
The guy said there was some old tear drop dumbells in the corner . It sounded like they were globes I was going to finnaly find globes !!!! Turned out to be just like he said these odd looking dumbells that looked like tear drops should of took a pic but seen that 25kg bumper and was distracted. The York hunting will never die . Get out there and find some good stuff barbell club members be sure to post pictures

Great arsenal of bars you posted.. those two will really put the collection over the top.
Wow, what are the chances of finding that single bumper to match your existing single plate.. Awesome!

That would be an interesting addition to the collection. No chance Mr. Jelqer is going to make the drive down there?
Nope.. not for a few months at least.
I ussually go down to the OBX for a week at the end of May. Was just curious what I might find in that area.
A good equipment junkie never stops looking!.. even on vacation!
Hey matrix, Kitty Hawk should be well within your range.

Hey guys. I'm not really much of a collector, though I've had my share of York plates through the years. Right now though, I've got primarily Ivanko and Troy Wide Flange plates. However, a buddy of mine picked up an older custom sled that was sold to him with what looks to be a couple of older York 100 lb plates. He is offering them to me, but did not mention a price. They have a small amount of oxidation on them, but are in otherwise nice shape. Thoughts on what I should offer for them?
Current goal: Cut down to 165 while increasing bench press to 300 by 6/30/2013. So close, I can feel it.
