Plates are 50˘ per pound, bars are $25, benches are $40, power racks are $200, cars are $5000, houses are $100,000, & clothes are 25˘.
I now possess two split sleeves... Both are cosmetically nice and will clean up in no time. One of them has an ever so slight wobble onmy rack pins.
Sounds like a perfect candidate for a dedicated squat bar.

I also have two split-sleeve bars and have noticed the same thing. One of mine has rings that are only about 1/8" while the other is closer to 3/8".

Does anybody know anything about these plates it appears to be the exact casting as 70/80s milled yorks but the milling is circular. I never seen this do you think maybe York would also make plates for other company's at one time or another?
I bought a rusty DP set off CL last fall & came here to learn how to refinish them. After reading threads like this one I searched & found this set was sold through the JC Penny catalog. It's an exact copy of the York design: plate castings, spin-lock collars, split-sleeve bar. York must have licensed it.
If you look closely at your plate you'll see it's stamped "TAIWAN" just below the hole. All of my plates have the concentric lathe marks.

Happy to say that I worked out a trade for my first pair of deep dish yorks . Going to keep them as is and give them a good clean up.

A wire brush forearm workout and some good old wd40...
The original lettering on the deep dish was it white or silver ?
I finished the letters with the silver
