No access to gym, losing all muscle mass

I'm currently spending a semester studying abroad in Europe and have no access to a gym (closest gym is about an hour away and costs about $300/month). Ive tried putting together routines focused around push-ups (nothing really to do pull-ups on) and things such as burpees, but have still been losing significant muscle mass (at least 10-15 lbs in 2-3 months). I was already fairly thin before this trip so this really is muscle I can afford to lose. I try to eat a diet high in protein, however food prices are astronomical so my options are quit limited and regular meat is almost out of the question. Any advice or tips on how to at least stop with the major losses if not gain some back? thank you

As long as your eating at maintenance, you shouldn't be losing muscle that fast. Between 2009 and 2011 I didn't lift at all. I ate at a maintence level and most of my muscle stuck around. I wouldn't worry about protein as much as calories. Muscle doesn't fall off very fast unless your eating at a calorie deficit. At least from my experience

Make use of your environment. There are people who grow up in poor surroundings but are some of the biggest people in the world (well not literally) because they work out using anything they can. Go to a local park. Do pullups on monkey bars, find somewhere to do dips (put 2 chairs side by side), etc. There's lots you can do just be creative! But make sure you understand what body part each exercise works out so you dont do too much/work out the same muscle 2 days in a row.

As the other posters have suggested, calisthenics are your friend - pushups, pullups, dips. Different grips, different angles etc. I'm sure you can find a park to do pullups in!
