So you've just done a one rep max deadlift and go home.
Down your protein shake if you like I don't care but the time to eat WILL come.
What's your preferred fuel for serious muscle growth if you have one?
I'm happy with fish, chicken or read meat but my personal favorite is a pork steak with boiled potatos and my trademark lemon/olive oil/tobasco/other-secret-ingredients sauce

Oh god, yes. Black lager (e.g., Sam Adams) is good. Stout is also good. Porter is not bad. Dark ale is... okay. It only gets worse from there.
Some veges to go with, too. Asparagus is great. Potatoes, of course. Green beans of some kind, yum. Anything else is optional.
A huge lamb roast, medium-rare, with roast veges alongside and some kind of sauce/gravy for it all - that's another fave of mine. Beer again? Sure, bring it. And make it dark.

Well, if this were a poll, read meat would win hands down.
Having said all that I like my pizza loaded on ham, bacon and pepperoni.
If I feel I've eaten one bite red meat too many I will switch to this teaser.
And lately I've been adding black olives to almost all my meals.
They taste great, they are good for you, they go with pretty much everything.
It doesn't hurt that the wife has her own production of olive oil and, subsequently, olives!

"The fitness and nutrition world is a breeding ground for obsessive-compulsive behavior. The irony is that many of the things people worry about have no impact on results either way, and therefore aren't worth an ounce of concern."--Alan Aragon

You have to train your mind the same way you train your body. You must protect it against the negative and feed it with the positive. Be mindful of what you watch, what you read and who you allow to influence you. Learn to consider your thoughts emotions and actions. Trust your gut face your fears head on and never quit. AJ Roberts

Grilled salmon and a side of veggies. I would eat salmon daily if I could, I luv it that much. But, it's a bit pricey to eat that often.
Raw sushi is always quite good.
A great steak place I think, is Texas Roadhouse. If you have one near you, and haven't checked it out yet...give it a try. Great steaks and salads. I think they are better than Outback, frankly. Outback has gone down in quality and up in price, IMHO.
