Supp Advice: Wifes Flagging Libido

I posted this in the Sex forum, but figured I might get more responsible replies from this demographic (womens perspective)

Anyone know a good supp that is non-steroidal that can help my wifes flagging libido. She realises that there is a problem but she is not willing at this stage to go to an endo or gyno to do the steroidal thing yet till she has exhausted the OTC stuff.

Comments from other women's experiences would be most reassuring to her.

My wife has the same problem , maybe the question should be has anyone actually used something that works and what was it ?

Does anyone know anything about test injections for women to solve the libido problem ?

Is your wife on any kind of birth control? I just started a certain type of hormonal birth control and my sex drive is now DOA. . . got to get back with my Dr. and try something different. If she's on the Pill, the Patch, Nuvaring, or Depo, that could easily be the problem.

I lost a lot of my drive w/ BC. Pills will do it to you. I was doing the Ortho Cyclen, purple pack, each pill is like 250 mg! I switched to Ortho Cyclen Lo, and it seems to be easier. It starts out w/ a low dose and works up.

Thanks for the replies , yes she is on b/c pills so is that the problem then ?

How did it make you , do you still think about sex but just not in the mood or don't you even think about it ?

It COULD be the problem. From my own experience and from listening to other women, I'm going to go out on a limb and say it is probably a big part of the problem. I know that the wrong type of birth control makes me not even want to think about sex. If my husband brings it up, I feel annoyed. I have a hard time reaching arousal, lubrication, or orgasm. Sorry if that's too graphic. I'd suggest that your wife go to her GYN an ask for a different type of birth control. Unfortunately, the only way to find what's right for you is to experiment.
