As a Duke fan this sucks, he is getting some bad advice tho. This is nothing like Kyrie who was a lock top 5 pick, Rivers will struggle to even be a lottery pick at this point in time. He needs at least another year or two.

agreed, I honestly think he needs to develop as an all around player. He can score, but he also had more turnovers than assists which he could improve on that easy. He was just way too immature this year. As a UNC fan I'm glad he wont be staying to develop

I am surprised by the posts in this thread. If not for the one year post high school rule by david stern, he would have been in the NBA already.

He was the leading scorer (15ppg) for a team that almost won the ACC, and can get in the lane whenever he wants. That alone qualifies him for first round pic status.

Does his game have flaws? Yes, but nothing that could not be improved upon in the NBA.

Barring injury, he could stand to make millions more to go back to school for another year for development. But his family is probably loaded so money could not be a driving factor.

15ppg isnt that great bro... Nolan smith averaged 20ppg and Rivers is supposed to be on another level from him.

right now, Rivers is a chucker who doesn't excel at any aspect of basketball other than scoring (which he doesn't even do that efficiently). if he was just a random player with no hype and you just looked at his season in a vacuum, not a single person would project him as an NBA player right now. honestly i think he needs two more years..
