    Getting Summer Lean With Active Armor and IF

    Hey guys,

    I've been around the bb.com community, and have always wanted to do a log. I was given the great opportunity to test out some products from Active Armor Nutrition.

    The Supplements

    Active Armor has provided me with Diet Armor, Krea Armor, and Armor Whey Isolate. Diet Armor is a fat burner, energy enhancer, and appetite suppressant. It contains Tyramine, Phenylethyamine, Theobromine, Caffeine, and 1,3 Dimethyl. Should be a good combo for both preworkout focus and diet support.

    Kre Armor buffered creatine/kre alkaline.

    Armor Whey Isolate is a whey isolate with 29 grams of isolate per scoop, zero fat, and 1 gram of carbs. 29 calories. The flavor is top notch, "Vanilla Peanut Butter".

    I'll also be taking some BCAA's pre/intraworkout from Recoverpro.

    My Diet

    I will be doing Intermittent Fasting. Basically, I eat from 12pm to 8pm, with my workout coming an hour before I break my fast. I will also be throwing in days where I do 24 hour fasts as needed. My diet will be a high protein, moderate fat, lower carbohydrate diet. I get 250 grams of protein a day, around 60 grams of fat, and the rest comes from carbs, 50 grams on off days and 75-100 on lifting days. I will be having carb refeed days at least once every ten days. If fat lost comes fast I will decrease the days between refeeds.

    The Goal

    To lose as much fat as possible while preserving muscle mass.

    The Workouts

    Monday - Chest/Tris
    Tuesday - Legs/Shoulders
    Wednesday - Rest or Cardio
    Thursday - Back/bis
    Friday - Chest/Tris
    Saturday - Cardio/Anything that isn't sore
    Sunday - Off

    If you guys are interested in more detail I can provide. I'll probably update each day with how I'm feeling and what I did in the gym.

    Current Status

    At the moment I weigh 230 pounds, and am between 13 and 15% bf. I carry a lot of my weight in my legs, and show abs at a higher bodyfat. The goal is to look as lean as possible for the Summer.

    Bump. Had an excellent leg/shoulder workout today. I'm down a pound, probably water. The focus I got from Diet Armor was incredible, and no jitters. I've only taken Krea for a two days now, so nothing noticable yet.

    Great workout yesterday and this morning. I did chest and triceps yesterday. It may be placebo, but I felt like I had more energy to get more reps. I hit at extra rep on my last set of flat bench, PR'ed it at 310 x 2. Long arms are holding me back haha.

    Today hit back and bi's. I could tell I'm losing some of the water weight from my bulk, I've got my arm vein back. Had great focus and energy today, even after too little sleep. Overall, I'm really satisfied with these products so far. I think I'll hit my goal a lot sooner than I thought!

    Update. I've had a busy few days at work, but I've managed to have some great workouts! I hit 365 on bench press Monday, a PR and longtime goal. I'm really happy with my diet and supplementation. I have actually gained a few pounds, but look leaner. I had a bad knee injury a year ago that has sidelined my leg progress, but I'm feeling really good lately. I'm squatting 4 plates again, something I hadn't done since the injury.

    Diet Armor has kept my focus and energy up with no noticable crash. I'm a caffeine junkie, and I have actually lowered my intake with just using Diet Armor. Krea armor seems to be helping my workouts as well, and I haven't noticed any water retention that comes standard for me with Creatine Mono.

    UPDATE

    I've been sick the past couple of days. The flu has been going around, and I got hit pretty hard. I did a little cardio this morning, felt good and focused for the first time in several days.

    Had an excellent workout today! Biceps and lats are getting noticeably stronger, and I was even able to power through some 40 minute LISS cardio after. I've dropped a few pounds since I've started, I'm down to 227, and definitely on my way to reaching my goal.

    Another great couple of workouts in the books. Had an chest/tricep day yesterday, a leg day tuesday, and a back/bis day today. I've been sweating like crazy in the gym, which is a great sign. A note on the appetite suppression: diet armor seems to help really well in the early afternoon to kill my hunger. I'm always ready for my post-workout meal, but this is helping me stick to my diet plan without extreme hunger. Definitely a plus!
