this thread has gone full retard. huge mma and dana white fan here, but i've lost some respect for him for saying that.
i've played 'soccer' to a semi pro level, and i've also done bjj and boxing. it's silly to compare sports skill wise, but soccer takes a HUGE amount of talent. there's so many different aspects that you need to be good at to even make it to a decent level - ball control, fitness, tactical awareness, grit/determination and that's just the start. it's like *******s watching mma and complaining when the fight goes to the ground, when they have no wrestling/bjj knowledge.
for the kunts who just don't seem to appreciate the basic skill to even kick a ball properly, try doing 10 kick ups with a ball, i'd bet most of you couldn't make it past 3 kick ups.
retards gonna retard.

Man U is the most profitable sports franchise every. Dana White is pretty ignorant. Hes just above a caveman. Although, he could kick my ass

No offence but you are in America. The level of football is awful. I play semipro in England, and when I went and trained with my cousins American team in jersey, I was surprised at how bad everyone was, and I went there with low expectations.
1. A football pitch is much bigger than a basketball court, even if there is more players.
2. Different types of endurance, a top level footballer covers 12-16km a match. Most of that is done in short bursts of pace followed by recovery as you jog around. You can run laps for 20 minutes without feeling tired, try sprinting 30/40m every couple of minutes and you will be exhausted very quick.
3. In terms of athleticism I don't think there is a single sport that beats football. Cristiano ronaldo had the qualities of a decathlon athlete, not a single sportsman. He runs 100m as sprinter pace. He has endurance of long distance runners, he has the physical strength of a powerlifting for his weight, his vertical is higher than the average in NBA (proven and tested). All that is excluding the fact that he has more co-ordination with his feet than most athletes have with their hands.
There is a reason football is the most watched sport worldwide. European cup final is still the most watched annual sporting event. There is a reason footballers are the highest paid athletes in the world.
Such a troll thread

Next time you guys are flipping through the channels and see a professional soccer game, watch how fast they kick the ball to make a pass, and then watch how many touches they give the ball for it to land directly infront of them.
It takes skill, more skill than any sport imo. Just go youtube ronaldo or messi videos.

Haha!
American football, you run around with a ball in your hand and dodge players that are trying to take you down. How much skill do you need for that?
Only thing you need is speed and strength and you could become the best.
Football (soccer), there's a reason why the best players in the world were all technical players, Ronaldinho, Zidane, Ronaldo, C.Ronaldo, Maradona, Cruyff, George Best, Messi..
To run at such a fast pace like Messi with the ball glued to your feet, do you even know how much ball control that requires, it isn't just a sport you can take up and master,
you need to start at a young age. Therefor it takes the most skill because it's a technical sport, just like boxing, but of course you need speed, strength and endurance,
but you need the skill too. I saw a vid about C.Ronaldo, he used to play 7 hours a day as a kid. Same with Cruyff, Ronaldinho, Zidane, Maradona, George Best and Messi.
****gy? haha.. is there too little physical contact with men, so that's why you're calling it ****gy? hahaha. Funny how this always comes from American Footballers.
And I never realized it until recently, but it seems that allot of men that prefer sports where allot of physical contact with other men requires, always turn out to be closet *******s. Like that American Footballer who woke up from a coma and found out he was gay.

you're an idiot.
I guess you dont realize how much hard work it takes to become as strong as some NFL players are. Try catching a pass from Brett Favre in the corner of the end zone while taping your feet to stay in balance. Not a single soccer player could take a hit from any of the decent defensive players. I am also pretty sure players who do not learn all the techniques and only have raw power and speed do not succeed.
It is one thing to say soccer isn't the most skill-less sport... but to even compare it to football?
...lol

Dana White is a flat-out retard.
Soccer isn't that big in the U.S.A, but it's pretty dominant everywhere else, compared to many other sports.
