The thing i love about Irving is he's always out there having fun.
& I'm loving the chemistry with the young players on the Cavs... and how much of a great player Alonzo Gee is turning out to be."Rise and rise again until lambs become lions"

Troll-bate aside, Irving is showing a lot of potential. I think Cleveland fans are still hesitant to even hope he will be a super star, but we'll see.
Hate on Dan Gilbert all you like, so far he's making good moves considering we are still only a year and a half after the franchise essentially fell apart. Part of it is luck with the draft obviously, but he's basically throwing hoards of cash at the problem and is more concerned with winning than with profit (which is what you want in a good owner, provided you use the money wisely). I'm looking forward to seasons to come and what should be steady improvement."You are a factory of sadness."

He hasn't done **** imo. He got lucky that your best players were injured last year so you could grab the #1 pick, and got a good trade for the #4 pick. (not sure if which one was the clippers pick)
Glad you drafted Tristan Thompson. Dude's gonna be great someday once he learns to play basketball. He can draw fouls as well as any top player in the league. Just needs to get his FT% up. Luckily he has the work ethic to make it possible. He has a higher ceiling than Irving.
He should have just done something to keep Lebron in Cleveland though. It probably wouldn't have took much, landing Bosh or Amare probably would have been enough.

Irving is still having a better season.
Lebron: 39.5 minutes, 20.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 3.5 TO, .417 FG%, .290 3P%, 18.9 FGA
Kyrie: 31.3 minutes, 19.0 points 3.8 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 3.1 TO, .474 FG%, .405 3P%, 14.8 FGA
Irving smokes him.
Lebron also had a better team around him. In 2003-04, the talent around LeBron averaged 66.7 points per game, as compared to the 2011-12 average of 57.6 points per game for the talent around Irving.

^and you can ignore the all star 3 point shot in your count. He took a few of those, I couldn't find a video of all of them, but if anyone actually watched the game you'd remember he hit a few in a row in his comeback.
I give you facts, you give me garbage. Lebron is just an incredibly efficient player around the rim, but he turns into a jump shooter when defenses are tough.
And lol at using Bynum stats to prove anything about Lebron. If Kobe chucked less then maybe Bynum would have more attempts.
Defensive stats? You can't ignore half a part of the game.
All I see are comparable numbers. You'd have to add 2 more FGA to Kyrie's stats to give him the same amount of points Lebron got and then Lebron's rebounds are drastically better. FGA is relative to the pace and usage rate if you're going to compare different players across 10 years.
This all ignores that Lebron was extremely unpolished coming out of high school while Kyrie was considered an extremely polished player coming out of Duke. Even if Kyrie somehow did have a better season than Lebron it would be irrelevant since his ceiling is so much lower.

Who gives a **** about their rookie year? How good a player is going to become is measured by improvements the player makes early in their career.
Lebron's year 2: 27 ppg 47% FG 35% 3PT 7.5 Reb 7.2 Ass 2.2 Steals
That's a huge improvement. We'll see what Irving does.Panthers/Tar Heels/Hurricanes/Durham Bulls

Agreed on the 'should have done more to keep James' statement, however remember that James' uncertainty about staying crippled the Cavs ability to grab FA's in the first place. And the roster improved each year, especially his last year, so it wasn't like Gilbert was asleep.
Beyond that, understand also that the Dan Gilbert is the one who engineered the trade of Mo Williams to the Clippers for Baron Davis and a draft pick...the draft pick that ended up being Kyrie Irving. He then bought out Davis to free up cap space. He also tried to pulled a similar act with Rip Hamilton from Detroit - basically a daft pick and then buying out the guy that wasn't a good fit (it fell through, but only because Hamilton wouldn't take a buyout). He just did it again with the draft pick he got from the Lakers along with Walton and Kapono.
His letter when James left was indeed childish, but so far he's spending a bunch of cash on picks to capitalize on the (hopefully few) years of poor records to rebuild. It's tough to say he's done nothing but get lucky."You are a factory of sadness."

I didn't know that he did the Clippers trade. That trade was insane for the Cavs. So good for him for getting that done.
I just think he should have took advantage of the Hickson for Amare deal to try to keep Lebron there.
It doesn't matter now though, the Cavs' rebuilding is looking good. If they get a decent pick this year they'll be great.
