Ugh. Not motivated at all today.

Weight is up. Not doing so good on the diet. Think I need to eat clean for a few weeks and cut out the alcohol. I have to do my 5th week heavy day in the all pro routine and am not looking forward to it. Especially because I have to do it at home and my garage is so full of crap I do not have any room.

Haha. Anything in moderation, I just have been overdoing it some. Lou1se. I'm cheap, I hate monthly fees. I have a power rack in my garage and a couple of Olympic bars and a set of plates. I just had to move a bunch of stuff around.
Oh, and thanks for the prodding!!

So I got my workout in. Yay!

    Squats 45/90/180/180 x 12
    Bench 45/60/120/120 x 12
    Row 20/45/110/110 x 12
    Press 65/65 x 12
    SLDL 120/120 x 12
    Curl 55/55 x 12
    Calfs 205/205 x 12

Took a little longer than normal. I rested a little longer between sets. Usually try not to rest more than 90 secs. Today I rested up to a couple minutes between some sets. But all in all I felt like I had a good workout. Definitely got a nice pump doing 12 reps.

    Monday, June 4th

weight 173.8 lbs - May has not been a good month diet wise. Ugh, I can't believe I'm up almost 10 lbs from my low 3 weeks ago.

I started Cycle 2 in the All Pro routine. Strength felt good. I even took some new videos I will post for feedback.
    Heavy Day

Squat - 50/100/200/200 x 8 Felt strong on these. concentrating on sitting back and going deep, but I'm not sure if I try too hard to stay straight. I know I should keep my back flat and chest out, but I might be able to lean forward a little?
    Bench - 45/65/130/130 x 8 - Bench felt strong. Pretty easy at 8 reps
Row - 30/60/120/120 x 8 - Rows are going to be hard this cycle. I think I started with too much weight. I got 8 in though.
Press - 70/70 x 8 - I'm standing with my feet together. These felt strong.
SLDL - 130/130 x 8 - These felt strong. Concentrating on the hamstring contraction. Don't think I'll ever have completely straight legs. I guess there is varying opinions on that.
    Curl - 65/65 x 8 - curls were strong.
Calves - 225 x 8 - Calves were good. I'm using the bar and not the machine, so balance is important.

Macros so far are spot on so far. I just have to go home and not succumb to the temptation of wine or beer.

    Check out my food journal
    http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/scatterzoom

Getting things ready for my big move. I am planning on having 2 huge weekend garage sales the next 2 weeks. Hopefully I can unload a lot of stuff I've accumulated over the years.

So I'm down to once a week journal updates.

Weight 172.7 this morning. I probably am eating at maintenance for the most part. 8 lbs of water weight is not unreasonable I suppose.

Did Week 2 Cylce 2 of All Pro

    Squat 50/100/200/200 x 9
    Bench 45/65/130/130 x 9
    Row 30/60/120/120 x 9
    OHP 70/70 x 9
    SLDL 130/130 x 9
    Curl 60/60 x 9
    Calfs 225/225 x 9

My lifts were feeling good. The one I know I'll be struggling with first is the Row. Probably started out a little heavy on that one.

I have not done any cardio the last 2 weeks. I think I'll do some tomorrow for sure.

Spent the weekend trying to get things together for a big moving sale. I have so much crap, I'm overwhelmed. I just want to take it all to the dump.

Notice how I went quiet these two weeks SZ ..wanted to see if you could do it on yer own. Oh yeah, I saw what you wrote up there! Kept my lips zipped. If I was in a bad mood I'd kick your butt thru the neg zone but today is your lucky day.

A week ago you weighed 173.8lbs and now 172.7lbs, that water retention is clingy like a barnacle, if you believe that, then I bet you still believe in the Tooth Fairy..

When you're done clearing out the place and unpacking, get that head of yours in gear and start putting words into action.

Below is your very first log entry. In the first paragraph, you can see that you have already made great progress, TICK

Now! Ha! This is where things get ugly, when I read "Log Entry" I seriously took it upon myself to search for where that entry is located to impale said log... How are you doing on the things you set out to do in the second paragraph? O Rly?

So, today March 21st, I turned 44. My goal in the next year is to take my fitness to an entirely new level. As an adult, I've always struggled with being fat. I've never been able to look at myself in the mirror and be happy with what I saw. I want to change that this year. Oh, I've slimmed down to a reasonable weight several times in my life. 3 times actually. From 230 lbs in 2003 to 174, then again from over 210 lbs in 2006 to 171 lbs and finally from a peak of 235 lbs in 2009 to my present weight of 170 lbs.

I want to maintain a BF% of under 12%. I want to increase my LBM by 20 lbs. I want to bench 225 lbs, squat 315 lbs and dead lift 315 lbs. So I start my workout log. I plan to post consistently. I would like to meet new friends online and maybe encourage a few people. I know I've been inspired by a few people on these boards, hopefully I can inspire others. That's all for this first log entry.

OMG, I can't believe it's been 12 years since I started this workout log. I've been on a roller coaster of ups and down in regards to fitness and weight goals. I've never been back to what I had achieved in 2012, but that is my desire now... to get in better shape then I was then. If I could rename my workout journal it will now be called "Getting fit after 55" lol. I just turned 56 and with having moved in 2012 and all the stress of living in a new city and state and a new job and then being laid off and then working for a company where I could work from home (in 2015, way before Covid) and now working at another new employer and all the other life challenges. Ugh. But I'm back at it. I started a new program 4/1... but because it seems bodybuilding.com was down for weeks, i haven't been able to enter any posts. I'm going to back fill my workouts for my own tracking purposes.

My last weigh in was 195lbs... I want to get down to at least 175 lbs by June. all for now.
