I know sweet potatos are a great carb to have in your diet. But I live in marine barracks and can't really cook. Are cans of yams still good. It seems they have more sugar. How much sugar does a regular baked sweet potato have.

I've always used a microwave for my yams. Just stab em a few times with a fork, wrap em in a paper towel and nuke it around 4 min each side.
