I take Glucosamine + MSM. Some generic brand from CVS that my family has coupons for aha. But it does the trick for me. If you feel that after a week or two that doesnt work for you I would look into Cissus or E-Pharm's Joint Force.

Plain Boron.
Easily the most effective I have found, and damn cheap as well.
I think my local Vitamin Shoppe has 300 tablet bottles for like $12, and when on maintenance you only need 3 mg/1 pill a day.
Cheap + long lasting = WIN in my book.
It seems to be more popular overseas than here in the US though.
I do use a simple fish oil supplement 2 times a day also.
(to all naysayers that think Boron doesn't work) - Try it for 3 months including a 10 day loading phase first, then get off it completely at 3 months.
At about 2 weeks off of it,you will be wishing you hadn't stopped it.
I haven't checked, but it is most likely available here on BB . com as well.
TZMAfter 8 months of injuries/not lifting and double hernia surgery in December (and losing 30 pounds of mass).... training began once again in February!
Damn its good to be back.

I had severe cartilage damage in my knee a few years ago... Glucosamine/Chondroitin/MSM did nothing for me. Here is what worked:
1. Fish Oil (high dose - 30g/day)
2. Celery Seed Extract (very underrated and very cheap)
3. Niacinimide + N-acetylcysteine
4. THIAA + berberine HCL (can only be found in metagenics ec matrixx)
That's probably the most hardcore joint stack you'll be able to find!

After having my knee and shoulder reconstructed, I use Allmax Allflex. Works great and very affordable.

Joint Force and high dose fish oil works VERY well. Helped me through a severely strained shoulder from benching. Also works well on old joint injury sites and for preventative care.
