    How much weight should I be benching/squatting

    I'm 14 5'7 and weigh about 140. My Max is 140 currently I'm about to go hit the gym and try for 145 but anyways I'll get to the point... I'm in 8th grade currently and I play football but what's a good goal for what I should be maxing on bench and squat and my squat max is 185 btw. For speed im going to try to run a 4.9 40 yard dash but what should I be benching squatting? Srs! Edit: I'm trying to improve my bench, squat, and 40 for 9th grade football next year what are some reasonable goals?

    It may seem easy, but don't give into peer pressure and take whey protein. It's steroids and illegal for all organized sports. If you keep at it, you should be repping out 350 in no time.

    I'm 13 and I bench about 190 and squat 255 I also play football well if your playing line you need to get bigger quick I wheaigh about 180 but you need to be able to bench about 160 at least at the end of summer and squat I would say about 200

    Freshman football line is dumb easy. I hadn't started lifting yet and it was fine. The only thing you need for football is to learn how to drive correctly and how to hold the pads of the other guy.

    But these ratios are strange as hell to me. Brb, squatting 225 for reps yet only benching like 105 for reps

    Just an update I maxed out 145 at the gym yesterday and I played Middle line backer btw. I think my goals should be bench - 165 and squat - 225. I only weigh 140-143 I'll be 150 by 9th grade so...
