    TODAYS TOPIC IS ; HOW SAFE ARE BEHIND THE NECK PULL DOWNS AND BEHIND THE NECK SHOULDER PRESSES,.....IS THIS MOVEMENT WORT THE RISK.....

    HERE IS MY OPINION; BE CAUTION WITH PULL DOWNS BEHIND THE NECK, THIS IS VERY LIMITED EXERCISE, ITS A GOOD
    EXERCISE WHEN ITS DONE WITH PROPER FORM AND SQUEEZE WITH LIGHT WEIGHTS... ANY OTHER WAY ITS A FORMULA FOR INJURIES....

    HERE IS SOME INFO ON HOW YOU CAN AVOID AN INJURY;
    **The problem with the behind-the-neck Pulldowns lies in "external
    rotation, rotate your arms backward so that your palms are facing up.
    It's basically the opposite movement to internal rotation.
    To do the behind-the-neck pulldown as normally instructed, you must
    externally rotate your shoulders as much as possible. This is a very
    delicate position for your shoulders. This is the main reason heavy weights are not advisable. The supporting muscles of the shoulders (known as the rotator cuff) are not in a good position to stabilize the joint and injury to those supporting muscles can result, which can lead to further injury in the
    connective tissue of the joint.

    Since most people do not have enough shoulder flexibility to get a straight line of pull behind the neck, they must bend their neck forward to do this movement; this can result in neck strain on top of shoulder strain.

    This information also applies to the behind-the-neck PULL-UP exercise.
    The mechanics of the movement are exactly the same, the only difference
    being you're pulling yourself up instead of pulling the weight down.
    NOTE;
    The Behind-The-Neck Press gives us the same shoulder issues associated
    with the Behind-The-Neck Pulldowns. To do the movement, you must
    maximally externally rotate the shoulders. This places the shoulders in
    a very vulnerable position which can easily result in strain in to the
    Rotator Cuff muscles.

    Most people simply don't have the necessary shoulder flexibility to get a straight line on the movement -they must tilt their head forward to get the bar behind it, adding greatly to the possibility of injury. For me I like to bring the bar in front for lat pull down or presses, this allows me to(go heavy) pull the bar down with control and aligned with the Body grove/form.
    Train safe, train smart, train for results.

    Long crazy weekend!!!!! Having family in town definitely puts a hold on my workouts! However, I was still able to get in a good run everyday and take my Phenyl Core twice a day =)

    Today I took my Phenyl Core twice and about 30-45 minutes before I hit the gym I took one scoop of my Juggernaut HP pink lemonade. I did legs today.. Thighs, glutes, calves, hams, and I did about 25 minutes of abs.

    Nutrition:

    Breakfast: Breakfast essential
    Snack: 2 hard boiled eggs
    Lunch: Club sandwich on wheat
    Snack: Fiber bar
    Dinner: Chicken with broccoli and low fat mac n cheese

    If you want it, make it happen. No one else, but you, can make you make it happen.

    Don't "JUST DO IT", give it your all.
    Anyone can show up and pick up a dumbell, but not everyone will give it their all.

    I don't stop working out when my muscles are sore, I stop when I'm done with my workout.

    Todays excuses, won't help you tomorrow.

    **********JOESWAT, THE ORIGINAL JUGGERNAUT*************

    TOPIC OF THE DAY IS;
    EAT RIGHT FOR YOUR TRAINING REGIMENT OR GO HOME"

    As I read the logs I have come across many juggernauts eating the wrong foods at the wrong time of day or not enough food/macros for their specific training regiment goal, therefore here is some helpful information;
    Fueling your body adequately is one of the most important aspect for your fitness success, failing to do so, your results will suffer... Eating before you exercise gives you the necessary energy to work out; eating after you exercise helps you restore your bodys needed resources from the training. However, you cant just consume mindless calories. You need to pay attention to what you are putting into your body if you want the benefits from your hard earned work. This is what happens to your body when you are done with an intense exercise regiment immediately your body is working to repairing any damage, such as microscopic tears in your muscles from weight lifting. AGAIN In order for your body to repair itself, you need to give it the correct tools. Food; It provides us with our Protein, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and anti-oxidants.
    What and how much you eat should be determined by your training regiment goal. The Proper and the right amount of nutrition lets you meet your goals and recovery more quickly. Skipping a single meal is not recommended because it will interfere with the healing progress.
    You need to eat 1 to 1 grams of protein for every pound you weigh.
    Consider this as a basic rule for maintaining muscle mass, obviously you need to increase the amount of protein if your looking to increase size and strength.
    It's best to eat 4-6 smaller meals a day by eating a meal every 2-to-4 hours to continually feed your muscles the protein it needs to build bigger muscles.
    You need carbs for energy to help you lift heavier weights, do more reps and/or sets to make you keep continually gaining muscle. If carbs are less than 40% of your diet, your body may use the protein and / or burn off the muscle you already build for energy. Eating enough carbs lets the protein do its Job!
    Without the proper food/nutrition, you become irritable, lethargic, weak, and unable to think clearly. You also lower your bodys natural defenses of immunity which makes you more prone to getting sick. Food also helps maintain your bodys core temperature, which keeps you from hypothermia or heat stroke. To fuel your body properly and consistently, you should eat several small meals throughout the day instead of three large meals...

    TO BE A JUGGERNAUT!!!, YOU NEED EAT RIGHT AND TRAIN RIGHT!!!

    IM HERE IF YOU NEED ME..

    #1508. The Only Thing That Stands Between A Person And What They Want In Life... Is The Will To Try And The Faith To Believe It Is Possible.

    Having a Juggernaut-sized breakfast with the Original Juggernaut, IFBB Pro Joe Palumbo.

    My interview by Matthew Tiger of Infinite Labs. With some Surprise Special Guests at the end

    Life isn't easy... However, We Choose our outlook on Life and how we want to perceive things. Despite fighting against negative circumstances, I always look at things in a Positive Perspective. You become what you think about. Negative thoughts reap negative results. If you think positive thoughts, you will get positive results. Having a deep rooted Faith in God has always helped me to remain focused and overcome my challenges in Life. The Value Of A Man Resides In What He Gives... And Not In What He Is Capable Of Receiving. In Life There Are Good And Bad Challenges, But Challenges Are What Makes Life Interesting... Overcoming Them Is What Makes Life Meaningful. To Get Through The Hardest Journey We Need Take Only One Step At A Time... But We Must Keep On Stepping.
