^^damn spent the morning watching those guys and others spearfishing. I would love to try it.

Have you tried it? If not you’d love it. We just do it off the shore in Mexico. But if ever get back into shape I’m going try some offshore bluewater stuff. Holding your breath is hard

I've not but I've known people who will take their bay boats out to the nearshore rigs a few miles out on calm days, spear all sorts of crap out there. Seen guys spearfishing at the jetty as well on clear calm days. I know it'd be a whole new addiction if I ever get in the water, definitely on my list. I like to hunt and hunting fish seems like best of both worlds. One of the YouTube channels I'm always on is the Youngbloods Spearfishing channel out of Australia, some good stuff. They do a lot of catch & cook stuff with fish and lobster.

fly to cabo in late may or early june. probably not even that expensive of a flight. better yet come hook and line fish in Sonora for yellowtail this winter and youll never be the same.

Right now the pomps, reds, and black drum are running. But primarily after pompano.

I have a spot with some jetty rocks that when the current/tide is ripping like that is guaranteed limits of huge surf trout. Find a spot where they can school up sheltered and it's fast fishing.

mfw we have bipolar weather here....dropped to -30 with the wind but as since been hovering around freezing lately. All the ice that formed is now gone.

Im going to Fitzroy provincial park hopefully which is right near a river called carp river. Apparently theres a crazy carp run there in Spring to that should be siick too. I wonder if im allowed to spear a Carp in Ontario
