ITT: We love to fish

Our weather here has reverted back to cooler and raining for the last couple weeks and is supposed to keep being that way for a little while longer. Haven't been able to get out for a little while.

Just a few pics over the last two or three weeks of my outdoor adventures. I enjoy sharing them.

To start, I picked up my mount for my 2014 archery buck, my biggest deer yet.


Next up a little trout fishing. Caught these browns. Never measured or weighed, just knew they were keepers. Made some nice grilled steaks with these two.


Did a little mushroom hunting, biggest one I found. Nothing beats or a moral mushroom.


lastely, did a little walleye fishing out on the big water. Between the 4 of us, we caught 18 keeper eyes and bonus perch.

Caught 20 crappie, few walleye, and a 15 inch northern pike. Turned out to be a great day

Can't wait to take out my new Big Tuna, hopefully tomorrow but I have some relatives staying at my house overnight, will have to see what time they depart. Just snapped a quick pic next to my Cuda, it's much bigger, set up as a solo kayak its so incredibly roomy, I love all the various options for seat positioning in tandem and solo.

NE lower here, surprised you found trout down that way!

They're actually yearly stockers. Stretch over river that used to hold trout but was just too developed and they left/died out. Now DNR stocks about 10,000 browns and steelhead every year in the 15-20" range.

Despite the short allowed fishing season, most are caught or die off, but a few survive the years.

Caught two 30" northerns today

Two crappie, five or so walleye in the ten to fifteen inch range. Not bad for a rainy day, I definitely need some better rain gear.

Caught about six crappies, and three walleye. Light occasional sprinkles and ten to twenty mph winds made it a challenge tho.

Target muskey 1/2 the time I'm fishing. Of course I'm bass fishing yesterday and hook a muskey on a tube with 8 lb test. Fight it for a solid 5 minutes, line breaks. Das it mane.

Not much weed life in Wisco yet, 4 walleyes avg of 16 with one 17.5 but needed to be 18 to keep. decent 32 inch pike as well. Eagle River chain on Friday for a week. das it

That blows I'm sorry. What did you do with the alien fish? Put him back? Bait? Hate losing gear tho

Maybe it sucked because I spent a lot of time trying to perfect my technique with worms. Still not very confident with soft plastics other than my froggers
