i just buy the cheapest fruit of a loom long underwear

thats what im currently doing brah and its been good for 90% of winter but last weekend I camped out the night with my buddy and it got to like -20....the fruit of loom didnt hold well (tho I was wearing layers like crazy so I wasnt too uncomfortable). I picked up a $60 cad pair of fleece bottom and top and just wondering if the wool is worth the extra $$

bruh I want to sooo bad but I live in a bipolar area.... Last year the coldest intersection in the world was 3 blocks away from my work....right now the snow is melting again :/.





kinda off topic but what do you hunter brahs prefer for base layers in the cold? wool or fleece?

Keeping your feet warm is a big part of being comfortable in really cold weather. Really thick wool socks, insulated boots and even those heat packs in your footwear. You can be warm all over but if you feet are numb/freezing you'll be miserable.

Gonna hit the beach tomorrow. Not sure if anything is biting but doesn’t matter. First weekend in a while without rain and going with my fishing buddy.

Gonna try ice fishing a local lake. About a 15 minute drive, has a good bluegill population. Never was really into ice fishing, but gonna give it a go. Ordered a hand auger (6") and a sled to pull stuff with. Going home for Christmas and going to take my tip ups and jig rods back with me.

Downside is that it's super busy because everyone knows about it, but it's busy for a good reason.

Thanks! I am excited. My auger is supposed to get here Tuesday but I probably won't be able to use it until after Xmas. Unseasonably warm weather here until next weekend, and I will be out of town from Thursday til Tuesday or Wednesday. There's ice, but we've had warm weather so I have no idea why people are out there. It can't be safe... Hoping to get out there Wednesday the 26th but ice may not be safe yet so I may have to wait until Saturday the 29th

Went out over the weekend for a hunting trip, cast a few lines but heavy NW winds (30+ sustained for days) completely shut the bite down. They're probably feeding like crazy right now after I'm gone though.

It was a youth hunt so I couldn't shoot but my son nailed a nice doe at 269 yards. I had the luxury of sasquatch carrying that damn thing on my shoulder through two marsh sloughs in knee deep water mud mix. It was whole too, didn't want to gut it for fear of I dropped it into the marsh ruining the insides.

ive used full length 6'6 rods to ice fish. ice rods are cheap though if you wanted to buy one

You will look like an idiot, but if you catch fish it’s alright. The easiest way to do it is just use a spool of line no rod and just hand fish it.
