Damn Hairy. That looks Hnnng AF! Never been trout fishing but have always wanted to do a catch and cook.
Got out fishing yesterday without much luck. Caught a few small fish, but that was all. Was only out for a few hours, should have stayed home and watch the Vikings game. Was windy AF out which made 60% of the lake difficult to fish. Oh well, there is always next weekend.

Yeah I've only fished for Rainbows twice in my life, both in Wyoming after an Antelope hunt. The locals all use salmon eggs or Gulp nuggets but we slay though on these little Super Duper spoons, probably 10-1 ratio and we don't have to mess with bait. It's a blast and they eat really good as well.

Finally got the first run of the HNNNG Tackle Co. hats in. Would probably be in the neighborhood of $25 each plus shipping if any of you guys want one.

I'd stick it on a hook.
My son has officially caught the fishing bug. We are going on our first quest for big fish. Had him up to the mountains earlier this year and to some small lakes around town but just little trout so far. But we're heading to a big lake Saturday for 5 lb rainbows and walleyes. Wish us luck.

Mirin' all these mountain lake pics. Northern MN is pretty sweet, but that just looks like another level.

Man that is gorgeous. I was in Medicine Bow/Snowy Range in Wyoming and that was nice, bet Montana is even better. Let me know when you're ready to organize and host a misc fishing crew get together and I'll make the trip. I need to learn the fly rod better first thing, really missed not having one in Wyoming.

Is there a main difference between nightcrawlers and red wigglers?
Does anyone order either online in bulk? I am looking for the best deals.BLM (Brock Lesnar Matters)

Got into some good ones yesterday after church yesterday. It was raining off and on and windy, but it was nice since I was the only one at the boat launch. Caught 15 on the day. Biggest (below) was 5.1lbs. Seems like the big girls are moving shallow to start feeding. The next month should be very Hnnng bass fishing here in MN.

I use LL Bean. Their warranty is unmatched. They start to leak and you just bring them in for a new pair usually. Simms is overpriced IMO.
Compass 360 is another decent pair for around $100.MFC

Got back from my 10 day on Saturday, huge variety of fish caught but no cows this trip. Tons of Yellowfin tuna and yellowtail were caught, had a crazy wide open bite of dorado for about 20 minutes that bagged us 77 dorado. I believe we had 76 wahoo for the trip and probably 20+ groupers. Total of 25 guys. Great food, awesome weather, a ton of action and got to come home with 472 lbs of fish.

Yea exactly, they only give up a fight for the first 50-100 ft. After that they kinda just float up from all the gasses. Had 1 rock me, he was able to get back into his hole/crevice and took me a good 5 min to get him out, mono was all frayed to chit by the time I got him out. Got real lucky on that one.
1 actually spun himself off while I was bringing him up, probably 20-30ft below surface he just popped off. We could see him still circling/floating up and 30 seconds later he was to the surface. Was pretty lulzy80% of the time all of the time.

Looks like a killer trip Gsxr. That is a ton of fish in the freezer! Hnnnnng
I got out yesterday and had a real rough day. Only 2 fish on the day, both were dinks. Weather was cold as hell, but it was still fun. 42 degrees when I made it to the boat launch.
Sounds like the smallies are really biting on a local smaller river system so I am taking tomorrow off for a "funeral". Weather is supposed to be real nice for this time of year tomorrow so it should be a good day.Tolerance and apathy are the last virtues of a dying society. ~ Aristotle
