So far so good, I'll run with it for as long as I can.
It's a machine for chest. There are many different ones, but they all look something like this.
http://www.barbellsales.com/images/BMPecDec.jpg
Chest dips are hard indeed...I need longer rest periods for those!
Oh good, I'm glad you tried it. It takes everything you got to get through...humbling experience for sure!
I was looking back in my journal and I see I missed a deload. I'm not sure if I will deload next week or take a full week off...but I'm def due for one!
Today I hit some legs. I didn't bother with the 8 x 8 program, just went for some heavier weights instead.
Goodmornings
95 x 8
105 x 8
115 x 8
125 x 8 x 2
135 x 8
Front squats
95 x 8 x 2
115 x 8 x 2
125 x 8 x 2
Leg press
240 x 8 x 6
Calves (off leg press)
240 x 20 x 4
Leg ext (drop sets)
120 x 8
110 x 8
100 x 8
90 x 10
80 x 10
70 x 10
Seated leg curls (drop set)
140 x 8 x 2
130 x 10 x 2
120 x 12 x 2
Will make my way to journals this evening.
Have a great weekend everyone!National Level Competitor (Female BB)

I am going to try your 8*8 program in Sept. I train right now with my 4 yr old sidekick, so this will be a hard program to complete with a kid around....he goes to kindergarten in the fall, so I'll be all alone... I am taking a rest week next and need to find a program to do from then until Sept....looks like I will be spending my rest week researching
Have a great weekend!

Thanks so much ladies. I've got to say that goodmornings are one of my favorite exercises for hamm/glutes...they are a staple in my program.National Level Competitor (Female BB)

I love my family, but all the parties are just too much. We make it a point to try to get away with my youngest (we want her to enjoy her summer) and before you know it, summers over...it's crazy!
Thanks Debbie! Hope you have a wonderful vacation.

Hello ladies.
I haven't been anywhere near journals, because I've taken the full week off. My shoulder needs the rest and it made more sense compared to my usual deload. I'm sticking to my diet, but my weight is up. I've been full blown PMS for the past 2 weeks...still no period...I'm just waiting patiently...
I guess this is what happens after 40. My hormones are completely out of whack, but I'm feeling ok so I'll just suck it up.
Have a great night everyone.National Level Competitor (Female BB)

I hear ya...I would like to deny that it's peri stuff starting for me but past half year cycle changes are a starting....period coming sooner...ovulation sooner...bloating like a friggin balloon...oh look, now my period is coming later...not sure what else to blame it on...sigh...
Hope you have a good weekend regardless!Goal: Peace, love & happiness...and arms that go bump in the night.

The shoulder issue doesn't sound good, is it a rotator cuff issue, can't recall exactly. If this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.

How was your daughter's graduation? How is feeling about joining high school life?
Kim, I will be giving a hard time when we start with my plan.
Brazilian food is impossible for me to resist. (
In one week time, I have added 4.4lbs (mostly fat for sure) despite me going to the gym on a daily basis.

Hello darlin, I'm trying very hard to stick with 15-17 sec rests and so far I'm on it! My daughter was very excited yesterday. The ceremony was nice, a bit long...and then we took the girls out for breakfast. I haven't been out to breakfast for years because it's no my normal schedule. The thought of highschool scares her a bit, but she has so many friends/makes friend easy...I think she'll be fine.
The thought of my daughter going to highschool makes me sad. My last baby at home, growing up too fast. Oh, it's vacation so please enjoy it...we'll kill it when you get back!
I think it's been 7 weeks of dieting. Things seems to be tightening up a bit, which is exactly what I wanted.
Thanks everyone!National Level Competitor (Female BB)
