Watched pendlay's snatch and Alena progression videos again.
Noticed a couple things I was doing wrong.
Gonna go work on them and hopefully have things click into place.

Snatch, Snatch, and Snatch
Today was all about snatching and trying to hammer some technique with some of Glenn Pendlay's snatch progression vids.
Snatch
95x2,2,2
115x1,0,1,0
After the first miserable attempt at 115 I did the drills again.
115x1,1,1,1
First couple reps I let the bar roll on the floor causing it to get away from me and I caught then of bakance.
But I feel like the pulls were a better a d my last couple reps were pretty solid.

The last two reps were definitely the smoothest to my highly untrained eye. It's pretty sick to track your daily form progress.

I was happy with the 3rd rep the most, but decided to throw in the 4th for the hell of it.
I'm treating it like golf or anything else technical I've done in the past by just try to hammer it home as much as possible and tweak as I go.
Today is an off day because I definitely I am feeling the last 2 days haha. I'll probably either jump rope late or do an easy Insanity video to get the blood flowing and get some recovery and extra work in.the latest and greatest in training...or whatever.

Cyle 1 - Week 3 - Day 1
Glad I have a stool to sit at my standing desk today off and on haha. Tired and sore after this morning.
Snatch
95x2,2,1

Last 2 reps were the best of the day. Some of my reps were off balance at first, because well being coordinated at 6:30am is tough sometimes haha. Also some turned into power snatches simply due to try to get loose and used to the weight.
Once I get a feel for a weight the form tends to improve as the sets go on.
Clean & Push Press
120x1 +2 PP
155x2 +2 PP
155x2 +2 PP
185x1,1,0,1(no video got camera got BROlled over),0,1
Added in some front squats to some of the 185 sets, but no push press.
Power Clean & Push Press
170x1 +1 PP
170x1 +3 PP
170x1 +3 PP
So pretty much the whole morning I was letting people work in on the rack. But on my top sets these true BROS come along. Both got their movember staches going and the shorter dude was pretty cool
BUT taller dude was on his phone talking to people between sets and was all "yeah bro, totally dude. All you bro" and on one of my reps he steps on my phone.
Nice enough afterwards when I told him about it, since he was off in neverland. But anyway dude kept walking all around during the top reps, so the fact I got 4 out of 6 I am fairly happy since it was a lesson in patience.
Anyway tough long workout and my hands feel raped.
Tomorrow Squats, Rows, chin-ups, maybe some pushups and situps.
No jerks today, since I think I just need to work on pressing strength in general. Maybe I'll do some rack jerks tomorrow.

Very interdasting session. I looked specially at the snatches because I tried them too on monday. I'm not sure if I jumped right to get the bar in position. I'm going to go for them as warm ups on lower body days, and eventully for push presses as assist on OHP day.

Snatches are pretty technical, so they can be a bit weird to get the hang of. I have watched so many form videos and what not. Sometimes I get it and sometimes I don't, but it's slowly getting there haha.
Check out Glenn Pendlay's Snatch Progression Videos, they are a good starting point I use the drills as part of my warmup.the latest and greatest in training...or whatever.

Once you start to really build some rudimentary technique your clean is going to explode, srs. A person doesn't squat 330+ lbs for reps and not clean heavy weights with some practice. With how upright you are able to squat, too, I reckon you are capable of cleaning 250-275 right now... you just don't have the proficiency/coordination yet. Keep it up compadre.

Thanks man. I will definitely keep trying to hammer away at it.
I feel like each time I go to te gym I slowly start getting a little more proficient in the movements, so i am just trying to grind in the movement patterns like you mentioned before during my warmups and sometimes at work when I have a chance with a boom pole.the latest and greatest in training...or whatever.

hahaha I had no desire to cut the song proper. Quick and Dirty. As for the lifts they are a lot of fun. Be careful you will be hooked if you try it haha.

No gym today.
Haven't eaten a TON and this morning felt like ****.
Partially DOMS partially still under the weather.
Squats, rows, and probably some hang snatches and cleans for technique work.
Bought a puppy today! Get the little gal in a couple weeks.
She will become active recovery by going on walks haha.
Also priced out some bumper plates locally. Gonna grab a pair of 45s in a few weeks time and I will just take them to the gym no matter what haha.the latest and greatest in training...or whatever.
