I AM JUGGERNAUT CHALLENGE- Brigette's log

Hi Everyone, I am Brigette and one of the newest participants in the challenge. A little about me is I a 24 years old, currently living in San Luis Obispo, CA but soon to move home with my family before my husband comes back from overseas and we get stationed in Stuttgart, Germany (phew! that was long winded!). I have a little girl who will be 2 in September and I am determined to have her grow up being fitness and nutrition savvy. I am excited to continue my fitness journey, currently I am 22% bf and want to drop down to 18% by September 1st and ultimately end up around 16% bf. Day 2

Day 2 is here and I feel amazing this morning. My alarm went off this morning and I didnt hit snooze and roll over like usual...I was tempted, but then I thought "Will I regret this later?" ABSOLUTELY! So I got my butt up and did 30 mins of plyometric cardio. At work now and have all my meals here and my gallon of water to get through today. Today at the gym will be cardio, back, and shoulders here is the plan:

    db plank row 2x10
    pull-ups 3x12
    lat pulldown 3x12
    inverted rows 2x12
    bentover bb row 2x12
    db shoulder press 2x12
    front raise 2x12
    lateral raise 2x12

    3 mile ladder run

then a lot of stretching, particularly my calves since they are very tight today. Also my meal plan for today looks like this:
Breakfast: 5 egg whites, 1 grilled portabello mushroom cap, 1/2 cup oats (made with water, dash of cinnamon and 1 packet truvia).
morning snack: 8 strawberries, 1 cup greek yogurt
lunch: 6oz salsa chicken, 1/2 cup black beans, 1/2 brown rice
afternoon snack: arugula salad (1 1/2 cups arugula w/ balsamic vinegar) 2 turkey muffins
Dinner: 4 oz lean steak broiled w/ 1/2 cups cauliflower mash
    before bed: casein shake.

Also before my workouts I will drink some BCAAs and after I will have a whey protein shake and a small apple. Atleast until I get my juggernaut supps which are supposed to arrive...tomorrow! wahoo!
Okay now I have to get back to work, Ill keep all you Juggernauts posted on how the workout goes tonight. Gotta admit Im kind of dreading that ladder run... it gets me every time!

Thanks cdenny! Its always the first week or two that are the easiest, im super motivated and kick butt but then usually by week 3 I start to loose focus. I think this challenge and my fellow juggernauts will help keep me on track so I can reach my goals!

Just got done at the gym and im battling laryngitis which was not pretty during my ladder run. I had no probem breathing but I kept coughing, didnt let that stop me though! I plan on drinking some hot tea tonight before bed to help ease my throat. That and getting a good nights sleep I should be good come tomorrow. Tomorrow is my grocery shopping day so im off to make my list. If I dont plan it all out then I end up eating whatever is on hand and quick to grab, which usually isnt anything good!

Ladder runs are mile runs where each mile you increase you speed. So today I did 3 miles mile one I was at 6.5 mile to I increased to 7.0 and mile three I ran at 7.2. Very intense cardio!

Good job making it to the gym. I know how you feel. Usually make it to the gym if I am at least breathing That's dedication, but take care of yourself.

ABSOLUTELY!

    Nice work keep training hard.
