Completely agree. Cory Schneider has proven he can compete at this level and be a starting goaltender. He started 28 games in the regular season, and won 20 of them. If my math is correct, and it is, that puts him on pace for a 50+ win season. He finished the year with a 1.86 GAA and .937 save % compared to Luongo's 2.41 GAA and .919 save %. In the playoffs Luongo started 2 games, lost both, and posted a 3.59 GAA and .891 save %. Schneider started 3 games, winning 1, with a 1.31 GAA and .960 save %. Vancouver needs to trade the dead weight that is Luongo, and invest in a more solid defense, and a few power forwards that bring a physical presence.

Now that the nux are gone, I suppose I will cheer for Philly and Nashville. I said Boston would win the cup, and I still believe that. They don't look good, but when their backs are against the wall (no homo), they always win. We'll see, should be interesting. Also, not sure if you guys realise or not, but Luongo has a no trade clasue, so he won't be going to Columbus or any other shi*ty team. Most likely Tampa Bay, Steve Yzerman loves him, and his family is in Florida.

I'm pretty sure someone posted that the President's Trophy winners rarely make the SCF, and usually lose in the preliminary rounds. Something about keeping that level of play going in to the playoffs being incredibly tough, while everyone else gets that much more intense during the Playoffs.
I wonder who said that.
