    Cheap / Effective Fat Burner?

Effective > cheap, but preferably affordable... I don't care if it's a thermogenic or meth, I really don't, I just need something that will help. I'm not relying on it or anything, I work out six days a week (3 strength, two cardio, one yoga; about to add more cardio to some days)... But I'm at the end of my rope; forty-something days and not close to my desired results. I'm trying so hard to cut and I've gained a few pounds; it's freaking depressing. I guess I just want something that will help a bit... and I'd rather not play Russian roulette with supplements when they're so damn expensive (usually).

I don't really know the prices for meth but judging by your picture you could probably barter for it.

What are your goals? If you've gone 40+ days w/o desired results you either need to change something you're doing or get a better understanding of how long these things can take. A fat burner isn't going to make that much of a difference.

    Exclamation

Please be reminded you cannot "burn" a fat cell. Once created, it will airways be with you. However, you can shrink it. With that said, DIET is the only way to the illusive 6 pack. Fat burning supps only give you a kick of energy and maybe some appetite suppression....IMO if money is an issue, have a cup of black coffee with 500Mg of vitamin c and ship out to the gym!

I am no expert and not one to give advice but I was having the same problem... all the cardio, training, etc as you and not losing where I wanted to lose. I have taken Hydroxycut, Ripped Freak, Oxyelite. I don't think any of it worked for me personally so I no longer take any! What did work was changing my diet and actually eating the right foods! Had a few pounds come off within the first week. Decided not to concern myself with the weight anymore. I go by how my clothing fits and the changes in my body.

I would say make sure your diet is on track to see if you get any results. Good luck to you!

Can you give an example of a typical day's food, and maybe we can help you with that? I agree with the others that fat burners do not work.

You mention nothing of your diet, even thought it has a much greater impact on your weight than exercise.

Hey these few supplements have been proven effective but the problem is that their dosage per day doesn't come up too cheap

Fish Oil: 6-12 grams split evenly throughout the day.
R-ALA: 600-1,000 mg’s split evenly throughout the day.
CLA: 3-6 grams split evenly throughout the day
Sesamin: 4 grams spread during the day
    L-Tyrosine: 3-6 grams pre workout
Iodine: 250 mcg’s during the day
Trying to help out others by putting out some good accurate information, and of course learn more!

Too many clowns and sarcastic remarks on this forum, needs more supportive members, you were all newbs once too.

I just finished a bottle of Oxyelite. It worked really well for me and I really liked the way it suppressed my appetite and I didn't have the cravings or the want to eat when I was bored. Remember, adding a fat burner may help BUT you need to put 100% effort in to your daily nutrition and daily exercise. It's a complete deal, there is no such thing as a magic pill that will make you skinny.
Commit to it and reach it, you can do it!!!

I am no expert, but I have tried a few 'fat burners', mainly because my disability means it is hard for me to be as physically active as I would like, and I guess I just experimented with a few ideas to give me a bit of a boost.
I concluded that, yep they are expensive, also most of them have the same basic ingredients, and it is way cheaper to tailor your own if you feel like you want to try things, then you can really see if anything has an effect.

The cheapest thing by far which I found as a good all round idea was Green tea- I have barely had a cold/bad skin day since taking it, and there is some research to suggest it can aid fat loss, so why not eh!, secondly Guarna because it gives an energy boost without the side effects sometimes too much caffeine can have (as fatigue is a big problem for me this is a good addition) The last thing I have started taking is Acetyl-L-Carnitine as I had heard good things about it with regard to improving some of the medical conditions I have, but it is also popular in a lot of "Fat burners" - mainly down to it's ability to improve focus, energy etc which can only improve your workout.

I am all about improving my energy levels so I can exercise better, harder, for longer...because that is the only thing that is going to make the difference long term.

I think the problem with many pills is hat they either attempt to jack up calorie burn -leaving you to battle feeling hungry, or end up eating more, so you're not really making a calorie deficit or anything from taking them, or they suppress the appetite leaving you with too few cals, so you get tired, can't exercise properly, which is pointless.
Or they do nothing, but make someone else rich!

I understand your frustration, but spend your money on the right food and getting the best possible workout. This is the only real solution, so my advice would be to focus on things that can help you get the best out of those things, they are far more useful than marketed fat burners.
Lost over 65lbs, and got some of my life back! I may be disabled, but don't underestimate me :)

If it were easy everyone would do it!

Hi.. I just wanted to add that I used to eat very little, excisered a lot, gained muscles but weighed the same. Tried all sorts of pills, but really wasn't satisfied with the results. I started. Re-training my brain, eat more real food with micronutrients, sort of the cave man diet... I'm a big girl, I'm eating about 3000 Cal's but slowly slimming down, when u slim down, you also cut out your high fat and sugars... if you want to rip those abs then you need to do the Military Diet, its hard at first, but you be in the best fitness that you need and want... You earn it through what you put into your mouth and persistance. Good Luck.

If your diet and exercise is good, I have found oxyelite pro to really help cut down trouble spots. It made me exausted by the end of the day from all the stimulants, but I finally saw my abs! It really helped me cut down that last bit for summer.
