What is the best type of protein to take during pregnancy

    Hi everyone

I am newly pregnant for the first time. I want to make sure my little baby is getting enough protein and I need to take some supplements. What is the best type of protein that I should be using? Whey, casein or soy? Or are blends good to take? Is it bad if my protein has any artifical sweetners or flavors to it? Thanks

real food. i'm sure many take protein powders, but i'd go as natural as possible and whole food is always better anyway, so that's just my two cents. if you're gonna include a supp, i highly doubt it matters if it's whey, casein, or a blend.

I am also pregnant with my first. I am eating all real food (plus a multi because the doctor told me to).

Lots of all types of meat. Beef, pork, chicken, fish. Plus eggs and pb. Trying to eat more sardines for the Omega3.

Yes - eat real food. Artificial crap is bad for everyone, so yes - avoid it.
